2012-The movie....

Postby G.I.Jim » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:51 pm

Lora Just reminded me of this movie in a different thread. Is anyone else seriously pumped about this movie? Let's just hope that the Mayans were wrong huh?  Here's the newest trailer for the movie. It's got the best special effects I've ever seen! :D

I disagree.

The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day are two of my favorite movies of all time.

What else has he created in the past decade and a half?

ID was very cool. Day After Tomorrow was shit on a stick. In fact, that is an insult to sticks, as they are useful for something. Like beating Roland around the head for making a movie full of the worst crimes against cliche's EVER!

? Nothing to do with Roland Emmerich...

If you look at most of M Night Shamalyan's movies as long form Twilight Zone episodes, they're pretty good

First thing turned me off was the lead male actor, that guy's ok in quirky flicks not big blockbuster end of the world stuff.

Topic interesting, but poor casting will probably derail it.

I never watched it. For some reason, it just never interested me. This new one looks amazing though, and I can't WAIT to see it! I've been reading and watching a lot of info on 2012, and it's a little scary. I hope that this stuff is just B.S., but there is a LOT of info out there to prove that a lot of global changes may be coming very soon. Google 2012, and there is way more sites and info than you'll ever want to read!

Yeah I thought that looked awesome but it was really boring.

Also, I have a friend who is adamantly against the 2012 movie. I think his thing is "we shouldn't be encouraging that crackpot theory and also it looks terrible". I won't see it, not much for disaster movies.

2012...saw the trailer, read the synopsis. Looks like a lot of shock and awe in the special effects dept and the rest is a liberal Hollywood morality play.

Pass.

The 2012 prophecy is probably BS...like most doomsday things.

As for the movie, it sounds like another "special effects" offering. It seems the special effects industry has taken over the movie business. I often don't even care if the actors get offed in gory ways 'cause you don't even get a chance to like the characters in the first place.
