OT | Frontiers Northeast Date Added

Postby Jeremey » Sun Aug 02, 2009 6:05 am

Just wanted to share as we have only just begun making a few trips up this way, but we've just added a tour date on Sat 9/5 at Higher Ground in Burlington VT. I don't know the geography of the area, but if it's within driving distance of any NE MR folks, please come out to the show!

Will be at La Vela tonight in Panama City Beach...Have a great weekend everyone!

Last time I went to Frontiers in Atlanta(april 2009 I think it was) Jeremey acted like he'd never met me before. I yelled out "Jeremey!!!" and he just bobbed his head at me like I was some kind of fanboy.

Jeremey, maybe it was that and the fact you ignored emails and PMs telling you I had a large group coming and I hope to say hello. Not even a "cool man, hope to see ya there...", "sounds good man!" or even a "fuck you". These were folks who were really into your music and wanted to shake your hand, thats all. It would have been a thrill for them. Then you ignored me as you walked by. What would you think? Ive been to several Frontiers shows man, Im not a fly by night fan. You always say in your posts you hope to see the MR crowd at your shows. I guess I wasnt included.

Gator may be on to something here...My wife and I had been wanting to see a Frontiers show for the first time.

My last email to Jeremey was ignored as well..

Sounds like it is not worth the drive or money.

Thanks for the heads up Gator!

PS...The band 50/50 does a hell of a Journey tribute set (is done every so often) for anyone in the Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse area. 50/50 are all great guys, they do not ignore people, and are very approachable at shows..

Please do NOT feel that way about Jeremey & the band.He is so busy with the band and life.It is a MUST see show. You know i hope he was to be the singer in journey that was not to be.Better for him.Cause they missed the real deal. I have seem them 1 time but do plan to seeing them more. Jeremey is so cool.So go see them and enjoy yourself.I am a fan and that will NEVER change. He sounds so much like S.P. it's NOT funny at all. :D

Well I'm sorry if I've offended anyone. VMV, I did respond to your email, so I'm not sure what you are referring to. You asked me about Geneva, right? And I answered you? Anyway, hopefully people will not be discouraged to go out and see a Frontiers show based on my ability to quickly respond to emails and PMs. SG, I don't remember what you are referring to, but I assure you there was no intentional snub on my part. If I walked by you and you called out my name, I was probably en route to doing something and may not have recognized you. I know we know each other from the internet here, but although we've met face to face a couple of times, don't be offended if I don't recognize you without refreshing my memory or saying your name one more time if I stop to say hello. During show time, I also have the responsibility of being the lead production manager on stage, for what it's worth, handling all the monitor issues and situations, and generally taking care of any other problems or issues that may come up. Depending on what all is going on at the time, I may very well just be completely preoccupied....After all, when you see me at these shows I'm at my job. Regarding emails or messages, etc - I am at the computer for a couple of minutes throughout the day. I don't normally have time to immediately respond to emails as soon as I get them. I always try to go back and respond when I do have the time, but like anyone else, sometimes they get backed up and I just forget to go back and respond.

Also, I do not get any Myspace/Facebook messages from our Frontiers accounts. These go to my manager who handles the accounts for me now. If you have sent me a message in any other form than a PM here at Melodicrock, odds are I probably haven't even seen it.

Anyway, I hope that my responding to emails or PMs is not going to make people shy away from enjoying some good Journey music. Please understand that I'm working nearly all the time. I've been on the road this week since last Wednesday, and I won't be home until Tuesday, then I leave again Friday morning. When I'm on the road, I'm either driving, sleeping, or trying to put out fires. Just this week I got a Verizon MiFi so I can do more work online when I'm away from home. I don't have anyone to carry road cases or wire monitor boards or make hotel reservations or change the batteries in wireless body packs....That's all my responsibility as well. When I am home, I have a 3 week old baby and a 2 year old toddler, so my computer time at home is limited to the hours of 10pm to 2 am or so, if I have time at all.

So there's that. Sorry to have turned anyone off and I assure anyone that any perceived "snubs" are not intentional. If you take the time to introduce yourself or remind me who you are at a show, I'm always looking forward to meeting people and talking. But I am first and foremost the captain of the ship out there, and when you see a Frontiers show, I'm ultimately responsible for putting out any fires equipment wise, personnel wise, venue wise, so I may have a lot on my hands at the time.....

So back to the topic at hand....We'll be in VT next month, so if you're in the area please make it out to a show!

Thanks BB, sitting here in a condo in Panama City Beach and getting ready to drive 8 hours to Hilton Head. Sorry you missed the show last night, it was a scorcher! Not sure when we'll be back to Pensacola, but we'll be at Floyd's in Tallahassee at the end of the month....

WTF? Would you skip seeing a Journey show if Neal Schon didn't reply to your email? Or how about the Rolling Stones, would you boycott their shows if Mick Jagger failed to reply to your email? Did you ever consider that maybe he's on the road and doesn't have access to the Internet 24/7? Sheesh... give the guy a fucking break.

Did you finally realize that he was just human like the rest of us? Yeah, that's a big letdown. I felt the same way when I heard that Santa Claus wasn't real - and that was just last week. I'm still reeling from that blow, so I can relate to your disappointment.

Jeremy I am not a big fan, but you have a nice voice. Play on and don't sweat it.

Gator, ever thought it might be hard to see one individual in a crowd?  You know I loves ya, but think about it. :D

And as for the e-mail............He might be a bit buisy and did not have time? :D

If one of the band members of Journey answered an e-mail I would drop in suprise.

Cut Jeremy some slack, he does not seem to be an ungrateful person. :D
