I'm sure you are a great person but you don't have an idea of what this is about. I will respect your opinion and ask that you respect mine. I have personal knowledge of the situation and you don't. Please respect that.

Thats because some people can't let things go and weigh themselves down by carrying grudges! Life is too short and we all have to carry enough around without taking on extra unnecessary burdens. Some need to learn the art of forgiveness. People sicken their soul harboring hate...it makes them weak.....not their enemies. Someone tries to unload their baggage on your back I say throw it off and move on...don't continue to carry it.

If you are talking about me holding grudges then I am accusing you of smoking crack. Who/what are you talking about?

My point is that if you don't know, don't chime in. I took up for myself the past two days. I am accused of attacking someone's wife and child and that is absurd. Read the posts. It is OK that I received hate filled texts from an insane person. When I bring them to light, I become the bad person.

Note to bad person - Sabrina - admit to J you sent me those stupid texts. Grow up. Go the fuck away!

As I've said before...if you don't want me chiming in then don't bring it to a public forum where everyone can chime in if they choose. You want someone to hear you out and sympathise with your side of things....ok....but this is not the place to do it and we are not who you really want to hear you, are we. You really want Jeremey to hear you out.....so, you both need to calm down....set aside your stubborn prides for awhile and go to PM or get on the phone and talk this out like two men.

Doing this here will only exacerbate the problem and not solve a thing. If you both can't reach out to the other...or at least one of you put down the sword and reach out then you need a mediator to get together and hash out your differences. If you don't try to figure it out then you're just going to carry the weight of it the rest of your life's. Of course you can do what you want...and will....but sometimes it may be wise to listen to advice once in awhile. At least make an effort to settle your differences...if you can't then it's time to let go and move on.

Jeremey wrote:Barry brought this to this forum because he needs attention to function. I have tried to call him countless times to resolve this issue he has and he doesn't answer his phone, then follows with a text about "losing his number" or something to that effect. Then I'll do just that, and months later he pops up again.

Barry cannot resolve this issue with me independently because it is the issue itself that gives him life. If it weren't for him posting things here and on the annex, he wouldn't have a forum for his mental instability. He has never laid out for me the issues that he has with me. He was angry because he was fired, and he allowed that anger to grow and grow inside of him as he continued to post things on the internet about me without talking with me directly.

He is only here today and last night because he needs an audience for this. He feels that somehow swaying the opinions of people he has never met and don't even care will somehow vindicate his feeling of loss and anger. Even now, after his "good night," he continued to post vile posts about my wife here on this forum, who sat on the phone with him listening to his nonstop relationship woes for years and years, and only asked him to stop because she thought he was a friend, and he thanks her by coming to this forum in front of total strangers and calls her a "crazy person."

I'm asking you all to just stop responding to this guy. Any word said, any acknowledgement, only will give him fuel and encouragement to continue on. He is pathological, and despite what he says NO ONE in Frontiers or any other past band he's ever played in wants ANYTHING to do with this guy.

Andrew, please close this entire thread and out of respect for my wife please just delete it.

Jeremy you aren't being any different then him here. I'm asking you to be the bigger person and not respond about it further. Just stick to info regarding your music because you are not doing yourself any favors by continuing in this skirmish. If you guys can't work this out then someone needs to walk away and then both stay away from the other. With posts like this you are only continuing to fuel the fire. Don't add fuel to escalate the fire, let the fire die out.

You are both being defensive and want to get your side of things out....and you both keep using trigger words to anger the other stemming from your own anger and defensiveness. Both striking a blow and then defending back and forth...This can't be resolved here....you BOTH just end up looking bad and will alienate others. Maybe that's the intention..to alienate others against one another but this is between you two and no one else here so it needs to either be worked out in private or you both need to just go your separate ways and move on with your life's.
IMO, neither one of you are going to gain more support from doing this...the longer it goes on the more it will turn people away and they will start disregarding both of you.

I was just thinking about something that may be relevant to all this in a way...
There has been someone who lead by example here that took the right action and came away better for it. That person is Jeff Scott Soto. When he was unexpectedly blindsided and dismissed from Journey he was initially shocked, hurt, and I'm sure very angered...who could blame him for having those emotions....and he expressed some of it initially....but then he caught himself from falling....he realized he should take the high road and not speak about it very much any further...and when he has spoken on it he has tried to keep it on a professional level from what I've seen. Did he probably vent much more to those closest to him in private? I'm sure he did....but he seemed to work it out....then let it go and move on.

Does his moving on mean he condones what Journey did to him...that he thinks its all alright? No. He let it go and moved on with his life and didn't let it freeze him in place....he moved on to his betterment and for his betterment. He could have let what someone else did to him destroy him entirely at the time but he didn't...he picked himself up and moved on while letting it go along the way. He gained more respect for moving on the way he has too...gained more respect for the way he handled it ...and gained his life back.

Both Jeff Soto and Steve Perry figured out that to continually speak negatively of their colleagues would make them look bad......not who they were speaking about......and they also realized that dwelling on it forever would hold them back from moving on with their life's. Did they get resolution? No...and probably never will with the other band members because all parties need to get together.. admit where they were wrong and really be open to listening to the other....but when all involved don't want to do that...don't care enough to...then everyone needs to go their separate ways ....forgive for their own sakes not really the others....and move on. Maybe not with the band but they both got resolution within themselves....for themselves.

Lets get back to the music now.
This song seems appropriate to start with...

Phyllis, let me just say that I have never come on here and randomly posted negative things about Barry Young. I'm sorry, but I will never agree that I have been doing just the same thing here. To come online and read a post about my wife and family, with no provocation, is over the line. I haven't dwelled on Barry Young. I forget about him. Until he pokes his head up again every couple of months. Why is it so hard to believe that I have ignored this nutjob for OVER A YEAR!!? Also, my situation is nothing like JSS or Steve Perry. They are both rock legends with legions of fans to hash things out, and things rarely get into either one of their personal lives like mine has been displayed here without provocation. This is strictly a personal issue that has no business being here, and I didn't provoke it. Besides, if JSS were in my shoes, he's certainly been known to come online and take issue with posters much less provocative than the ones here.

Period. Done. Over and out. I don't know why any sane person would stand by and allow that this muckraking to happen. Oh well....This wasn't anyone's business. I just can't understand how I'm being painted with the same brush here. Regardless, this will all resolve itself next week.

I don't know who has done what to who...so I was trying to remain neutral...not putting the blame more on one or the other. I figure you both will come back with justifications to your side of things...so I wasn't speaking to only you with my post...I was speaking to both of you. Resolve it in private if you can...if not then let it go and move on....both of you.

The only thing I didn't like about Atlanta was the traffic. It sucked. I will say though that Buck Head sure did have some fine eating establishments.

I can't wait to go back to Atlanta.

I love ATL. I miss living there...but my sons and other family are still there so I do go back when I can.
I had a great time the night I went to see Frontiers at Andrews Upstairs. At the time I was just there visiting and was due to leave the previous day but I stayed another night so I could go to the show. I saw Jeremeys wife Sabrina and said hello...she invited me to sit with her and Barry's girlfriend. We talked all evening and she invited me backstage to the dressing room during the breaks and then after the show. Oh...and Jeremey dedicated a song to me too which was very nice. They were all very hospitable and friendly folks. I had a great time hanging out with them that night and will never forget their hospitality...especially Sabrina...she is a very nice, sweet and friendly woman and in talking to her I found her to be quite intelligent as well.

I figure you both will come back with justifications to your side of things...so I wasn't speaking to only you with my post...I was speaking to both of you. Resolve it in private if you can...if not then let it go and move on....both of you.

I didn't make it public to begin with, but I assure you it will be resolved in private.

I went to Atlanta back in March although I didn't see much of the city... I did go to the Atlanta Fish Market on the advice of a friend (thanks sweetie) and it was WONDERFUL!! I was kind of bummed that the day after I left was the Georgia Marathon, I would have LOVED to have stayed and ran in it....maybe next year.

Atlanta rocks. Loved living there and go back all the time. So many great areas and restaurants - 8) South City Kitchen in Midtown is a great restaurant - Large prawns on grits (Which is more like a couscous texture than grits). My favorite hole-in-the wall place was Rocky's Pizza in Midtown - Bruschetta, linguini with clams, and Chianti.

And, yes, Atlanta Fish Market is a must when visiting.
