The OT thread about nothing...Adults only!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Sun Aug 09, 2009 10:55 am

Hey everyone, I just read Laura's thread and I think this is a good idea. Anyone can jump on this thread and talk about non-journey, sexual, fantasy, animal sex, popcorn, sexual popcorn, tuna tacos, erections, whatever!!! So who's first? I don't have an erection at the moment...

It's beer thirty!!! I just got done laying another pallet of sod out in the yard tonight, and I'm hot, sweaty (yep... got some ball sweat going). I just sat down and cracked open a beer, and it's so relaxing! I've been working like a mad man on this yard for the last 2 years, and it is looking so awesome!!! The tree nursery delivered some trees for me earlier this year, and asked me if I'd work for them when I retire after seeing my yard. He said my yard looked like it had been landscaped by the best!  I just do it as a hobby, and I just take a lot of pride in my yard.

So how bout them erections! :D

I think Steve Perry is super, super cool. I sure hope there's truth to the rumor that he's coming out with a new CD in 2010. Nobody sings as good as Steve Perry. I sure wish he would activate his website: www.steveperry.com.

 Sorry, Jim. I just thought I'd swoop in & derail this thread with talk about Steve Perry. I'm evil that way.

I'm not sure, maybe 6-8 months? I didn't play with them that long, as I wasn't happy with the band situation as it unfolded. Also, I was playing with a church band for about a year and a half during that time which kept me pretty busy. I also had to go through an Army leadership school for a while during that time, so I was pretty damn swamped! I only played 7 or 8 gigs with them, and I jumped up on stage with them for 3 songs while I was in that Army school in Virginia. I did have fun on stage with them while I was with them.

I don't have a real traditional band right now. I have a singer in Italy, a drummer and a bass played from Scotland, and myself here in the united states. I'm writing an album that is nearly complete and is only missing a couple of songs. We send the songs to eachother via the internet and have to work long-distance. It's working out great so far. We've already had a couple of labels interested in working out a distribution deal with us to get the songs out across Europe. We haven't even sratched the surface on record labels we'll be approaching, so who knows what will happen? I just have to get motivated to finish up these last two songs so that we can make it happen.
