I think there may be some Journey fans who to stay upstairs.

I think it's probably an even split. We'll see soon enough.

Journey still gets the upstairs. :P

If SP's new album is really brilliant and turns out to not be a clunker, then that might change.

Last I heard this was a Journey forum and they're talking about a Journey concert. I think the Perry thread is for Perry and his upcoming solo album or Perry nonrelated Journey topics. These are Journey memories and discussions.

If people think Perry's forum won't also include classic Journey topics, I think they're mistaken.

Who cares what will be talked about in either forum? The people up here can do what they want and the people down there, the same. One thing that will decrease is the thread hijacks and that's what certain people want so it's all good in the end.

People bitch about this forum not being pro-Journey. Well, if things work out, you'll end up with two forums that will portray Journey positively , they'll just be about different eras that's all. Everybody wins.

My dear freakin' Portland, of course, I know it. Do you? Journey was headed nowhere AND Steve was headed nowhere when they got together. I put "and" in my comment. Meaning I agreed with you "and." You had no "and" for what Journey did for Steve.   Hugs and kisses.

Depends on the thread of course, but the review threads will probably be spared as people who don't care for them or the twittering will be in their own little corner of Journeyville. If a loon comes into here to upset the apple cart, they deserve what they get, the same if a pinhead goes downstairs and riles shit up. I really think people will think twice if they know they're not in mixed company anymore. I'm sure Andrew will be on it like a hawk also as it will be easy to see who the culprit is.

The JSS board survived some tough times but it's regulars seem happy just staying in their own own neighborhood and a lot of them used to be up here before.

Look at the styx guys. Besides Froy wondering off the reservation every blue moon, they seem content in their little peice of the universe also.

It will all be fine. :D

Hey Gunbot, whatever happened to our forum field trips you had planned? 8)

We're about to go on the biggest one yet, and if it gets skanky, Foreigner will be next on the list. New album out in September, good stuff.

And the Bon Jovi Documentary in the next few months, it's all good.

That's what I was thinking too. I'm just assuming this forum will be about the current Journey and most things Perry era Journey will be posted downstairs. It's probably where I would have posted this thread if it was open. I'll probably only pop in here to check reviews/youtubes now and then (so yes peeps will be spared any Mr Big/EM posts here  ) , but spend most of my time in the two SP & JSS condos downstairs and possibly an MB/EM one, unless Drew's just teasing.

Seems to me that SP fans have every right to contribute to a Journey forum, but Arnel only (AKA Pinhead) fans should not feel the need to comment on a Steve Perry forum. Especially when all they seem to do is belittle his legacy.

The thing that I think of when watching the first two clips (thanks, Debbie, BTW!) is how into the music the rest of the band was. They were rockin'!!! Ross was a maniac, which is one of my most enjoyable things about those earlier clips. Watching them in performances in recent years, however, I don't see that level of enthusiasm and just all-out 'balls to the wall' energy. Now, folks are quick to comment that SP 'couldn't' perform like he did back in the day, which is certainly a possibility, but I have to throw out there that the other 3 original (not really, but you know what I mean) really aren't performing up to their prior level either. Hell, the most action I've seen from Friga is his gay-ass dancing, which is rather embarrassing. Ross is having fun with his squirt gun, etc, but I love the rocker in him, and would love to see it. Neal is getting it done on the axe, I guess, but he's far from the performer he was in the 70's & 80's.

Just an observation. :)
