Buying a video does NOT mean it is your "private property". You own the disc itself, not the content.
Can I purchase a copy of "The Shining"? Yes.
Can I post the content within the book online and tell people it's "mine"? Uh.... no! DUH!
This is the same thing.
This should not have
ever stopped us normal folks from sharing these things, because this is something we all enjoy and have in common, but unfortunately, it stopped most people from doing so just because everyone got sick of the drama and childish b.s. And I can't blame folks for that either. But what should have happened was that
everyone who ran into this problem just said "screw you" and continued sharing things.
Most of the bootlegs etc that I have came from friends, free of charge. If you're a cool person and you play the give and take game, you can get this stuff without problem and without charge. If she "paid a lot for it" then she got had and that's her own fault. That doesn't mean no one else can have that material, nor does it mean that if someone else has it too, that they "stole" it from her.

Good lord.
