My Fallen Friend

I lost a wonderful friend last week. She was in an automobile accident. We met through YT, where we both made SP/Journey Videos. She was the biggest Steve Perry fan I've ever met. She just adored him. She was the sweetest person I have ever known. She will truly be missed. This was her final video.

Laydee. I was happy to see you posting last night because I knew you were doing a little better.
It it so unfair that such a person, as you described her to me, could have something so tragic happen in the prime of her life.

You know it never seems to amaze me that people don't consider "Online Friends" as real friends. Well, I will tell you it hurts just as bad when you loose one of your online friends as much as it does losing a "In Real Life" friend. I have many friends online and they each mean the world to me and I wouldn't trade them for anything. We're just like family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. We never know what life will throw at us. What a beautiful video. Love that song and in that video it's as if Steve when he sings that song is making love to the microphone....he is that into the song. Beautiful thing.

Hey Laydee, I'm definitely sorry to hear your news, and I'm sorry for your loss.

I have been there several times myself with all 3 of my best friends in high school, so I hate to hear about ANYONE losing those who are special to them. Take care, and just know that people here care about you. :wink:

Real friendship is about how you talk to each other, the things you share, the strength you give each other in bad times, the advice and support you give in hard times, the joy you share in good times. It's jokes and conversation and shared attitudes and opinions, respect and honesty and laughter. Doesn't matter what format it takes; if it includes those things, it's a real friendship.
