You didn't watch the series did you? If so, being gun shy and not being physical against your arch enemy in the playoffs makes you a pussy. It has nothing to do with "fighting."

That is not, nor has it ever been, a word.

Yes, I did watch the series. If Im not mistaken...if that were the case...that would make 60% of the team a pussy! Not EVERY player gets into scuffs. Its hockey...it happens, yes. But Kane is more focused and dont let people get in his head. At least he is not stupid or careless enough to get thrown in the penalty box during the most important last games of the series over and over again...he knew as well as his fans, the Hawks needed him on the ice...and THATS whats important to him I believe. He made some AMAZING plays in that series, one being when he hit the puck when he was almost behind it, and made it in. Was he or was he not "Player of the Game"...how many times? You cant be player of the game when your stuck in the box over and over! He had his teammates do that shit for him!!

So I made a spelling error....life will go on smartass!!!

Goddammit, I'm not talking about him being in the penalty box or starting fights! I'm talking about being physical and playing tough within the rules. He looked scared, tentative and, at times, confused. He had one fucking goal and one fucking assist in 5 fucking games, which is only one more fucking goal and one more fucking assist than Dorothy from The Wizard of Fucking Oz scored.

I dont know...I can see your point on him not being really physical on the ice, but thats him. As you can read his stats, they are not that bad for a 2 year "rookie". In due time, it may all fall into place for him. Lets give him some time to get "physical", since its not in everyones nature!! :D **Unless your in a cab tryin to save a buck or two!*

Jesus Fucking Christ. We're talking about the Detroit series and you're posting links to his first 2 fucking seasons! That's like being assigned a book report on "The Grapes Of Wrath," reading the Goddam book and writing the report on The Fucking California Raisins! Are you drunk or something?

Barry and Ronnie are ok, but I'd rather run through hell in a gasoline covered overcoat than listen to George Jones. I'd rather skin a live bobcat, naked in a phone booth. I'd rather pump a grizzly bear with a handful of stickers. I don't care for country much.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

George Jones is one of the best country artist out there I think, well back in his day anyways! How do you not like "Choices" or "He Stopped Loving Her Today"? Better yet..how about "If Drinkin Dont Kill Me"?!?! Give those a listen, and let me know if you still hate it!  8)

I've heard all of those. I just don't get Country. I don't know what anyone sees in that twangy music that makes the singer sound simple or uneducated. I've given it many many chances, and I just can not warm up to it. And I was raised in Oklahoma and now live in Texas. I know it doesn't make sense. I like Rock. I'm definitely musically myopic.

I do like some of Kenny Rogers songs. ONJ, is that Olivia? I like some of hers as well. I just don't care for the twangy singing, like Reba or Tanya Tucker. I've even tried to listen to the new stuff, on the advice of a coworker, and it does nothing for me. What's that Australian country dude? Evidently he's the shit on the Country scene right now. Don't care for it a bit.

Tito asked me to post this  :

"I am totally on Kane's side on this. I, too, would have fought for less money. First, the customer is always right and you never short change him. If the cabbie didn't have the change, he should've gave Kane back 80 cents and ate it, not the other way around by overcharging the customer 20 cents. Again, Kane was right. It's not about the money it's about the principle."

Folks, knowing Tito, he would have fought over 3 cents. The dude is the cheapest prick ever.

The truth will eventually come out. Did the cabby even know who he was until the cops got involved. Some cabs have cameras.

If this was on him and not the cabby, it was totally ego driven.

I never underestimate the power of an ego. If your a baseball fan, just look at the Matt Bush case. This young guy has gotten in trouble over and over since he was drafted in the top 5. His latest episode was caught on tape and it is shameful. He attacked high school kid after he drove across the field and tore it up with his sports car.

Doesn't matter. Kane was and is a punk for this. Hockey players are supposed to be better than the other athletes. NFL murderers, Baseball roiders, basketball thugs...you never hear about hockey players gone bad. And for what, 20 cents?

Just because Abdullah Turbanomad had a suspended license doesn't mean he has the right to get pummeled by a drunk pissed off NHLer. And you mentioned earlier that he won't get suspended because the Hawks need him- Um, it's not up to the Hawks whether he plays or not. The NHL will decide that, not Chicago.

Well, Tito is correct in this case... you do not shortchange a customer no matter the amount. I have had waitresses do this - say the change due back is 2.18, or something, and they only bring the $2. Happened to me 2 or 3 times and each time, if a server does that, whatever change they have kept ends up being their whole tip. The .18 isn't the point. The fact that they've taken it upon themselves to decide I don't need or want my .18 IS the point.

I'm still wondering how it came to that though... when a far comes to whatever amount plus change, I round up to the dollar and then add the rest of the tip accordingly. So was he not planning on tipping the guy? I mean, that's ok if he wasn't, if he received bad service or something, but I'm just wondering what thought process was in play here with this 20 cents.

Folks, knowing Tito, he would have fought over 3 cents. The dude is the cheapest prick ever.

Exactly! Thats what Im tryin to figure out...none of it makes sense. Im really looking forward to his press statement!

Come to find out on todays news, that cab driver should not have been on the road to begin with! His license was suspended, for the 2nd time, for DUI! Hm. Wonder how this will come into play....

I see your point. Again, I cant see going as far as the NHL suspending him unless they have video or something of rock solid evidence of Kane actually doing it. His cousin can take the blunt of this to cover for him as far as we know IF he did it. Point is, we know nothing yet. We can all speculate and think of our own reasons of why this happened...and now that we know this cab driver is a repeat offender of DUIs...whos to say he wasnt wasted that night and started shit with them, and thier is a self defense issue here??? Noone knows yet...I just wanted to give the update I got on the news today is all. =] I agree...just because someones a drunk, dont call for an ass-whoopin...most of the time anyways!
