I just did.

Look this is coming down to UF, USC, either Texas/OU and maybe say a Cal or Ole Miss, possibly an OK St. Ohio State sucks, Penn State is playing a high school schedule, Alabama may have a shot if they take care of Tech, but my 2 on the NC stage is UF v SC, and I will pull for UF. I hate SC.

Dean!!!!   This, my friend is a revelation!!!!!!!!!!! I would be honored to see you in the Gator colors!

I have done a complete 180 on Teebow. I love the guy. What's not to like about him? Solid citizen, great judgement, terrific leader. I don't think he'll QB at the next level, but I am not going to bet against him either.

By the way, I do own a Florida lid. When we were down to Tampa for the Journey weekend in 06, I bought it. Angela(Ratgirl), has a pic of us at a table eating. I was with Soto, hammered.

Well Wazzu sucks cock this year, but we do have killer colors. I think some of the best in the land.

Penn State looks like a bunch of guys who run from the day into the night and back again. Black and white..fuck how scintillating.

Now hold on there big fella...OSU is "young" but, sucks?? Don't think so. You watch them closely this year and ESPECIALLY next year! They have lots of really good young players and Pryor is the real deal. They just need a few good breaks in their big OOC game (vs. USC). Could happen. People haven't forgotten last year's drubbing at USC.

I think it's UF's to lose right now...with Texas in second. Ole Miss???? Nah...ain't gonna happen. No way. Also, IF USC escapes Columbus with a "W", they could be in the hunt. This assumes they don't "choke" it away at some point in the season.

35-3. You mean to tell me the starters could make up 32 points? You Big Tenners are delusional.

What about that SAME OSU team's performance against Texas? If not for some "unforgiveable" attrocious defense played by OSU in the last 16 secs of that game...they win. Period. Not taking anything away from Texas but, we hung right there with them and EASILY could have won that game.

I'm talking about the same Texas team that people are projecting in the top 2 this year.

I'm just sayin...

The USA Today preseason poll
1. Florida (53) - 13-1
2. Texas (4) - 12-1
3. Oklahoma (1) - 12-2
4. Southern California (1) 12-1
5. Alabama - 12-2
6. Ohio State - 10-3
7. Virginia Tech - 10-4
8. Penn State - 11-2
9. LSU - 8-5
10. Mississippi - 9-4
11. Oklahoma State - 9-4
12. California - 9-4
13. Georgia - 10-3
14. Oregon - 10-3
15. Georgia Tech - 9-4
16. Boise State - 12-1
17. TCU - 11-2
18. Utah - 13-0
19. Florida State - 9-4
20. North Carolina - 8-5
21. Iowa - 9-4
22. Nebraska - 9-4
23. Notre Dame - 7-6
24. Brigham Young - 10-3
25. Oregon State - 9-4

You just say that crap because your team never has to play Southern Cal. They field an NFL caliber team every year because they cheat their asses off - not even Florida gets to cheat that bad.

Zedul, you are right dude. SC does cheat, but never gets caught, or lately anyway. Reggie Bush definitely got outside help in the form of Benjamin's but Pete Carrol is the best coach in the land and the highest paid for a reason. That guy gets the college game.

Have to put this out there too- Terrell Pryor of Ohio State runs a 4.33 40? LOL, um, no he doesn't. Even Michael Vick, before he got into the dog business wasn't running 4.3 40's..well, maybe back at Blacksburg he did, but come on? The Vest is hysterical, pointing out OSU's speed, when speed has killed them in almost every big game they have played the last decade. Gotta love the Vest, dude is trying to get some run for the slow fat Big Ten, while the SEC and to a lesser extent the PAC 10 are so much faster than them.

Also Zedul, I have no idea who you are and who you are slamming, nor do I care, but SC has some QB problems. All of their QB's have health probs now- thankfully for them, they get San Jose St the first game.

Not slamming anyone. Just stating a fact. I HATE USC but the truth is every single year the team that gets awarded the mythical national championship and is not USC is the team that somehow ducked a bullet and didn't have to play them in a bowl game. That's a pro level coaching staff with pro level talent and if you focus them on a game they are almost impossible to beat.

The only time I even recall them losing a big game in the past decade was when Texas played out of their minds and Young performed frakking miracles and still it went down to the wire.

What does SC have now? Like 10-12 National Championships? They are the freakin Yankee's of college football.

I hate them.

Ok maybe I am slamming on SC.

Sorry Deano...gotta correct you on this one too. Speed UP FRONT has killed OSU in these games. Not at the "skilled" positions. And, btw...yes Pryor IS THAT FAST. He's a "freak" of nature...could actually "redefine" the position.

Just watch...

PS One more thing...OSU was thoroughly destroyed by UF, shot themselves in the foot BIG TIME with costly personal fouls, etc. against LSU (I admit that LSU's defensive line was killing us...but...look at the stats from that game...very close), and really could/should have beaten Texas last year. Couple that with beating a "fast" ultra-talented Miami team (remember how "unbeatable" Miami was supposed to have been?) for the championship in 2003 with a supposedly "slow" "prodding" Big Ten team...yeah...uh huh. Right...

No, UF doesnt play SC each year but we do play a tough SEC schedule each year which more than makes up for your argument. And who knows..maybe UF will meet them in Pasadena this January?

* * * * * EXCERPTS FROM CBS SPORTS EA NCAA FOOTBALL PREVIEW SHOW

Gary Danielson on LSU-Florida Match-up in National Championship Game: I have been a strong advocate for 10 years that you can’t play in the (National) Championship unless you win the Championship of your conference. Since they won’t listen to me, I will stick it right back to them. I am picking Florida-LSU in the Championship. Four teams from the SEC are in the top 10. I see Florida losing at LSU in that night game. LSU losing to Alabama. Florida will beat Alabama. No one goes undefeated. Two left standing, LSU and Florida play for the (National) Championship. I think every team will lose a game and I don’t think they are going to put Boise State ahead of LSU.”

Tony Barnhart on Punishing Florida State for Academic Fraud: First of all, let’s be clear, Florida State should be punished. This is academic fraud. It was sloppy and it’s unforgivable. But, vacating victories is not the way to go. And I think the same way about the Alabama case. In vacating victories, basically you are saying the games were never played. It is not like forfeiting. I don’t agree with the concept. Do scholarships, do TV, do fines, do any of that, but I agree with Bobby Bowden. This is not fair, in my opinion.

Tim Brando on Charlie Weis: If Notre Dame doesn’t get at least nine wins, Charlie Weis will have to buy a ticket to see the Irish play in the Bronx next year. Danielson on Notre Dame-Michigan Game: That game against Michigan early is going to start this whole rumor mill going. Michigan-Notre Dame, for the losing coach, the rumors will start.

Like I said earlier in this thread-I am ashamed of our OOC games except for FSU. But we still play in the toughest conference in the game. I dont think Florida owes apoligies to anyone.
