Well count me in, and most likely L too if she can get away, LOL, but I will for sure either way. 8)

Yes! We told Lydia we were bringing reinforcements next year, including you. :D

How were the Leps et al.? Deb, Tammy, and I are going to see them on Wednesday at the Woodlands.

I will look forward to it! Will be fun!!!

Oh we had a great time the other night! The bands were great, and we had a fun time as always, and we stayed at the Hard Rock which in and of itself is a blast! Have fun Wed!!!

With people talking about Journey doing acoustic sets, Do you think the song would have sounded great regardless of the room size or did the intimate setting play a part in how well the song went over with everyone?

My view ... the majority of the folks at this event were SA fans, not just Journey fans. Many people (including Ross) have long thought this was the song that Steve's talents really shine through on. It was fabulous. Deb even told the guy standing next to her and talking loudly to shut up because she'd been waiting 10 years to hear it. :D At a regular concert with generic fans ... beer tent.

Was Steve on guitar during this song or Faithfully?

Yes, both; he did an acoustic set to start the show; he played one guitar and his good friend Tom played the other.

Fucking-A. There's something cool about about seeing great musicians singing and playing at the same time. Dan Fogelberg, Kenny Loggins, Justin Hayward. It Just make's it a little more special, almost like their emotion is bleeding through the strings somehow.

Couldn't make it, though I wanted to. For those who saw Steve do Faithfully, I got to hear him do it acoustic with Jack from Tall Stories a couple months ago in NYC. It was VERY impressive. I am certainly jealous, Steve's a great guy and sounding good.

SJ... any idea if there is any video of this? If I am remembering correctly, there wasn't any allowed last year, though a couple things popped out at some point. Thanks!

It was just cool to be so close and hear that song. I think the intimate setting and cause had a lot to do with how it came across. Steve really poured a lot of emotion into that particular song. What a nice surprise.

Pretty sure that is Val and Butch's "song" too....

There is something really special about being so close that you could reach out and touch the performers. How often does that happen at a concert? Last night was truly magical. Steve sounded amazing. Gen Hex and Nick Lynch were also incredible.

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I had perfected it about a year ago, but then didn't have to tie one for six months. Completely forgot and haven't been able to get it since!

So pm me your # if you want a concert call... and my usual loves, you'll be rung later. Lynn, send me your # cause I can't find it!

*Muah* Happy Sunday all!

Wow! Congratulations on the effort and determination! Youre looking great, Rhi! Y'all did well on your dress choices too. Everyone was looking fabulous.
I have to mention how well Augeri looks too. Sounds like everyone had a great time. :)

Great seeing you all again and meeting some new faces - you were all so nice! And thanks for the dance, Rip and St. John (but I didn't get to see you moonwalk, Rip). What a great event - it was fun last year, but this one was spectacular.

Marco, I believe JTTC was taping it professionally this year for a potential DVD of the event to buy. I think Butch mentioned it? Val, correct me if I'm wrong.

That would be wonderful, if it happens. I'd purchase it in a heartbeat, assuming a large amount of the money would be going to charity.

Everything top shelf you could imagine and Miller Lite, Heinekin and 2 other obscure imports that most people thought were really good. No Guinness, though.
