Never mind, found it.

1. remaining within; indwelling; inherent.
2. Philosophy. (of a mental act) taking place within the mind of the subject and having no effect outside of it. Compare transeunt.
3. Theology. (of the Deity) indwelling the universe, time, etc. Compare transcendent.

I thought it was spelled Imminent as in The CD is Imminent. i.e. probably going to happen soon.

No, that's a different word entirely

1. likely to occur at any moment; impending: Her death is imminent.
2. projecting or leaning forward; overhanging.

I think my word spelling is how she meant it............. ASSUMING A NEW CD IS IMMANENT.............what are you hoping to hear?

In other words. Assuming that we are finally going to get the Damn thing, what are you hoping to hear on it.?

I keep remembering a more recent (maybe 2 yrs ago) interview SP did with Uncle Joe and Steve saying something like, "turning it up"...maybe that was in reference to his writing/music...rockin' it. What we do know is that he got the passion back - since he has said he wouldn't do it if he didn't have it. So whatever the music will be it will have his passion in it. :) But, still I hope it really comes about - released to us & that we aren't getting our hopes up.

I don't see him working with people like Nunno and Rob so he can write R & B tunes. IMO he'd want to make music that is relevant to today. I said it before, if he wanted to sing old R & B covers he could have done that a long time ago. Just as the guitar speaks for Neal, singing & songwriting to Steve is a personal expression of his thoughts and feelings. He said in the GQ interview and also on the recent Q podcast that he started writing again about a year and a half ago. I've always believed that there was never anything wrong with his voice, and that we'd hear from him again when he had something to say. Well he's had time to live and experience life, and now that he's turned 60 (a milestone), this is a good time to look back and reflect on his life again. I am so jazzed to hear what he finally has to say.

Very good post/points.

I don't care what he sings......just SING!

I have a hunch it will be updated stuff, not backwards. I'll bet some of it may even have a little country twang to it. I'll bet he's all over the board on this one. He strikes me as a guy who likes to try new stuff. I don't think he would take the time to record and put out an album of covers at this stage in his life. I think it's all going to be new stuff.

I just wanna hear him. I'm beyond excited with anticipation. But then, I AM a loon. I always felt confident that we would hear from him again, the question was just when. Guess we're still waiting on that one.

Oh, I don't think we're getting our hopes up un necessarily. Steve is so secretive about everything, that I highly doubt he would have said what he did on the uncut interview if he didn't have concrete plans to put it out. It's just a question of when. I think 2010 is the magic number myself.

Raw and Tribal

Postby CHELBEL » Sun Aug 16, 2009 2:41 pm

I've always wanted to hear Steve sing something raw and tribal.

While I LOVE hearing his gentle love songs, I crave hearing him tear up a song with violent passion in deep gutteral tones.

Mmmmmmmmm delish!!!

...but the man is in his 60's now. Violent passion in deep guttural tones could easily be mistaken for constipation...I'm just sayin', careful what you wish for.

Well that was quite interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I could tell it was SP in all those high notes, but I wondered about those little noises at the end of the song.
Which ones were being made by SP. The little monkey in the background?
