Yea, he's missed so many games before, hasn't he? NONE.
One of the 3 best QB's ever. He can still play. If he hadn't hurt his arm last year, he was having a great year.
I hope he pounds the ungreatful Packers.

I don't agree with how Favre handled ANY of these situations since March of 2008. But, this is going to provide NFL fans with a helluva storyline and you'd all be liars to say you won't watch that Monday Night when Favre heads to Green Bay at Lambeu field. I think I'm the only one that's lovin this move by the Vikes.

Add Adrian Peterson to the mix and you have a QB that you're basically relying on to be mistake-free and show leadership. Favre can do these two things. He has thrown picks in the past, but with someone as good as AP behind him and a short passing game tailored to him strong and accurate arm I think he'll do well.
The big thing people here are missing is that he's gonna play in a dome and he has thrived in this dome. Brett Favre hasn't been a cold weather QB in many years. Hell, he's won three playoff games in the last eleven years, and that's mainly because he's choked in the late second half of very cold games. If he can stay relatively healthy and the Vikings can play some playoff games at home they're gonna be a motherfucker to beat. Say what you want, but they're a better team than they were several hours ago.

Then post it on a Packer's website, make some popcorn and sit back to watch the fireworks! LOL

Until, like someone else said, he gets hit hard (especially in his bad arm) and his career is over. A lot of people (especially Green Bay and the Bears) will be gunning for him now, he might as well be wearing a great big target on his back

The Pack will be so damn fired up when they see Farve in Purple theyll pull all the stops out. Vikes will just get beat by the Pack, with Farve in Purple that will be embarrasing.
& Theres only one thing worse than getting beaten by the Pack , and thats getting embarrased by them.
Sigh, , aint been a decent QB in Vikingland since Fran!

I agree with everything you said Dan, but the dome comment. Brett Favre is actually a HORRID dome player, and his record is well under .500 when playing in Domes. I think it's like 6-13, or 6-14 or something, not sure the exact W-L's but no, he has not thrived in games when playing in a Dome. He's played in Green Bay for 17 years of his career, and we all know the field is frozen in October when it comes to Lambeu. If anyone, Favre is the ultimate player when playing in cold weather.
I guess 1 stat is worth mentioning to a certain agree.
Brett Favre's Super Bowl Record. 1-1.
Brett Favre's Super Bowl record outside: 0-1.
Brett Favre's Super Bowl record in a dome: 1-0.
Take it for what it's worth when it counts the most I suppose.
