Great question, Portland. I'd like to hear Steve Perry and Stevie Nicks. Or Steve Perry and Ann Wilson. Tow of my fave women singers.

I'd like to hear him duet with Mariah Carey. Now there's a voice he'd have a hard time keeping up with. She can really hit the high notes.

Aretha, though George beat him to the punch by about 20 years....

Maybe cross over with a nice Jennifer Nettles duet?

How about Duffy?

Maybe Gwen Stefani?

Another small under the radar project with Tift Merritt?

Actually, I would really like to see that. Not to be funny, but I think a duet with Arnel would be interesting & I'm certain SP & AP fans alike would tune in even if only out of curiosity.

I know.... I know.... it'll never happen, but still I'd like to see it b/c I personally don't think they sound anything alike & it would be interesting to have a "real time" performance to compare the two.

You have a point Jason. That would be interesting to hear. I too do not think Arnel sounds like Steve.

Alas, I can't see that happening anytime soon....

But if you're ever planning a vacation between Texas and the Atlantic Ocean, give me a head's up because I'm sure we could find a date somewhere on our schedule that would fit in your itinerary!

Patti Smyth. After seeing her open for Benatar last year, I think she and Steve would make a perfect blend. Both of their voices are really rough. She had that pretty duet with Don Henley back in the day.

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Good choice....Benatar would be an interesting choice as well. Jennifer Nettles has a great voice too as well as Martina McBride if there was something with a country feel.

Thanks for getting us back on topic!!! It seems to be a problem these days
