Overall sound is ok but to be honest the tempo is off. Areas of the song the timing of the instruments are well behind the vocals. I think mainly its the drummer...he's not keeping time well.....also what is that dead clanking hit he keeps making? Is that the high hat? Sorry, I know most people just want to hear "thats great" but when its not that does you no good but give you false praise and you'll keep on making the same mistakes and not get any better....so I hope you take this as intended....not to be harsh but to let you know how I'm really hearing it. Needs work, imo.

You guys are a virtual band, right? That means you don't jam together but play your individual pieces and then dub it in? So, no seeing a live act, I assume. Yes, Still They Ride sounds great.

ahhh...that might explain the delay. DSB might sound better with a re-dub and taking some of the cymbals down in the mix or maybe even have the drummer redo his part. Overall the song seems to drag in places.

You guys pretty much nail Still They Ride, so maybe with a little rework you can make DSB sound really good too.

A little bit harsh in the comments. There is some serious talent here imo. I am always amazed at how talented some people are. Makes me feel such a dufus.

No one said they don't have talent. Still They Ride is fantastic! DSB just needs some tweeking. Can't say it's great when it's not....just like the musicians in my family don't want me to lie to them...they want to hear honest feedback. When critiques aren't given to insult or out of some bias but to improve then it can be positive feedback. Something they may need to hear to improve on something ....as well as praise when the work is well done.

I was responding in part to the post above mine where you and BlueSkies were talking about people on this site. I just didn't feel like quoting.

Ya we recorded the song with a click track wich keeps the song at the same tempo through the whole thing because the keyboard player originates the whole thing. The drummer is left with no choice. I'll admit it didn't work well for this song, because we are all aware of the issue. The original speeds up at the "working hard" verse. The "clanking" was the ride cymbal wich is part of Steve Smiths original track, maybe not as noticeable though.
Thank for watching!

Thanks for the explanation, I just knew the timing was off somehow and was speculating why, sorry I blamed the drummer for it, then. Hope you took it as intended. Once you tweek it a bit...if youre going to,, I hope you will post it again. Like I and some others said,..you sound fantastic on Still They Ride. :)
