Some great news!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Wed Aug 26, 2009 1:00 pm

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post on here tonight to let you know that it's official... we now have a second guitarist for Cold Heart, and his name is Jakk Moretti. Jakk has worked with Alex in the past, and I know he's going to bring a lot of style and kick-ass rock to the band!!! :D He's got a LOT of talent, and I couldn't be happier to announce his involvement with our album!!! He just recently played on a short clip of our song "Losing You", where he added some seriously rocking guitars, and that can be heard here...

www.myspace.com/jimrykbost

He also has his own myspace page with 4 songs you can check out, as well as a video clip from a few years ago with Alex's old band. It's just a clip of the solo, so you can't actually hear Alex singing... but you can SEE Alex next to Jakk in the clip! Here's his link...

Anyway, thanks for checking us out, and I can't wait to hear more stuff from him very soon!!! He's working on a couple more songs that I think you'll really like, and as always... I'll keep you updated! :D Take care, and have a great night.

Good stuff Jim, this definitely takes it to another level... very clean player from the short sounds of it.

See Jim, some things are worth waiting for. :D The other day you were down because the album wasn't progressing fast enough and now you've added a new guitarist. He sounds great. I really liked what he added to Losing You. I checked out his website. Some of his blusey stuff sounded pretty good as well. Maybe you can add a blues number to the album?

Dang! Jakk has some chops! Get Alex diggin' deep feeling the words + your songwriting and keys + guitar player who can rock and do some smooth jazz injections + the bonus of being good looking guys = winner! 8)

Only thing missing in this equation is a drummer. Who's the drummer?

Hey Folks

thank you very much for supporting our new entry Jakk. Jakk is a great player I work with since 10 years now. I'm confident that he'll really take the band to the next level. Beside COLD HEART I'm working with Jakk as main guitarist on the "Alex Mark Scott Band" named AMS Band (what a fanstasy :-) ) ... I'd like to have your opinion on our really first demo song called "Through Her Eyes" ..the sound of it is a bit far from what Jim and I worked on but I hope you like it any way....bear in mind it's just a demo I recorded in 1 hour this morning...sounds are crap but it could give you an idea of the path we're walking .

Check it out at:

www.myspace.com/alexmarkscottband

it's the very first song playing automatically. Let me know... I'd really appreciate it!!

Great player! Congrats.

I hear on the MySpace you decided to keep my guitars on Rumor's Out?

I'm proud to be a part of this, even if it's only a small part.

Hey Michael, I did post your version. I think your guitars added a lot to it, and beefed it up some. All of these songs will be re-recorded from scratch once we get into doing the studio-quality recordings, so your parts will be re-recorded eventually.

We're going to shift gears very soon, and start recording the final tracks with live drums and bass lines. It'll sound much better, and now that we're a 5 piece band... it'll sound much more full and polished!

Thanks for the time you spent on it though, and I hope your album starts coming together soon! Have you got any further with it? I'd love to hear the song I played on once it's finished and mastered. Keep me posted!

You have a good voice...only part that I'm not comfortable with....and this is just my opinion which you can take or leave... is when you get rougher and louder...the kind of yelling parts? Gets kinda phlem sounding in some places and forced....sounds like growling..like its not being pulled from deeper inside..just kinda on top, if that makes sense.....otherwise you sound good.....and whoever Laura is..she's good! :)

That's ok man. That demo will be a collectors item someday ;-) So, if you guys here wanna listen to it, be quick!

I'm busy with my album, but I'm dividing my time between the album and working on a product line I'm endorsing. It's VST Amp Sims and effects. Amazing stuff. Most of their Amp Sims sound better than most 'real' amps I played on. And the best thing is, it's all FREE!

I'm not sure if you're using VST stuff, but if so check it out: http://www.acmebargig.com

One tip for the guitarist: try not to end every solo/intro lick with a Lukather kinda quick run. I only heard two clips with him and he does this on both, so just be careful with that.

He has a great tone and chops though. Can't wait to hear this all with real drums and bass, I'm pretty sure it'll rock a lot harder.
