Agreed. I've found that a bit strange since he/she :?: has posted it here before.

Oh BTW Travis great review! But you didn't mention NANCY?? What's up with that?!

The pic of Nancy says it all. You don't need words when looking at a beauty like that.

She always looks great. Ann looks quite a bit smaller this year than last as well.

Oh, their both beautiful, regardless. I love both of them. They give off a nice sex appeal.

That pixie haired chick playing the keys is interesting also.

Thank you so much for the excellent review, YJ. Would love to see this great band once again.
YoungJRNY wrote:Bare with me, as I am still tipsy from last night. Okay.. (where do I begin).. we get to the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio and immediately out comes the 40 and 25 pack of alcoholic beverages. That's all I have to say about that half of the story. We had 3 people back out on us on front level seating, so we helped out two sweet women who took the tickets on the front level. As people PACKED the Covelli, so did beer after beer. Before heading in, I ran into Stu briefly and we exchanged a rock on hug.

Got in, and the energy is immediately felt. Heart is a jaw dropping experience yet again and Ann Wilson is M-O-N-E-Y.. as usual. You know what your getting with Heart. A truly heart felt performance by the Wilson sisters. They never disappoint. But this night belonged to Journey. I was so unbelievably fired up for this that my X-ray vision was acting up. Once Journey came on stage, the crowd went absolutely ballistic. WOW! What a great, ballistic crowd. Deafening to say the least. I was jumping balls to the walls ALL night. Jonathan Cain threw me 5 pics until my drunken ass caught one, but from jumping around I lost it. (I'm a dipshit for that.) Arnel made sure he rocked with me a little. He was probably wondering who the nut in the first row was.. but he delivered a couple walk off grand slams!

I Didn't miss a note. Neal was running all over the place, just feeding off the crowd like a parasite. They had us eating out of the palm of their hands. Arnel sounded astonishing amazing, and is LIGHT YEARS away from where he was 1 year ago. WOWOWOWOWWOWOWOWOW. Whoever doesn't approve of this lineup needs their thick head examined. The energy this man leaves on the stage is non-describable.. Arnel, by far, is one helluva performer, and this is the Journey that I LOVE. I can go on and on how great the concert was. This one easily hit the 10/10 mark. What a great, epic night. Thanks to Journey and Heart for rocking my damn world out there. I thought this trip went better than the 3 I went to last year, including Vegas. We all need to get together in the VERY near future.

A little note: I was so inebriated to the point where it wasn't funny. I wore a new Journey shirt.. I ended up ripping it off my body and throwing it down on the ground.. to which some bitch stole it. I wasn't too happy about that once I FINALLY realized after the show that my shirt was stolen.. even though the lady next to me told me, haha. Ohwell. Great Night..great band.. When are we doing this again?

This is a shout-out to all the people who don't support this lineup. Not to be a dick...but YOU'RE A DUMBFUCK.. talk about missing out on greatness? Rock on Journey..ROCK ON.

Here's some pics of the night.

Time and Me before heading in.

I took all the pictures with my cell, since they don't allow camera's. Surprisingly, they came out not too shabby!

When you align yourself with either side of a fractured fanbase there's going to be a certain sense of loyalty involved. Especially if the side you choose is that of a paranoid mental case that would make the antics of "Sybil" seem normal. YoungJRNY, where'd you guys get those shirts, at the concert or someplace else? Those are sharp. They're different from the ones we usually see with all the bright colors like the Revelation CD cover. Yours are much nicer, less flashy. BTW--- what's that written on the side next to your arm, if you don't mind me asking?

YoungJRNY's brother makes the best t-shirts ever. I have a one-of-a-kind Revelation shirt that blows the doors off of anything Journey has put out. With his permission I'll (try to) post it.

Like Dan said, my brother owns a T-shirt company, and for special occasions and get together's..he and my other brother are nice enough to make up Journey T's. (A lot of work.) The newest one is the Revelation logo on the front, in silver, sparkling metallic ink, with the concert dates on the back of the World Tour. On the sides of the shirts say "2009" on one side and "World Tour" on the other side in Chinese type symbolic writing matching the Revelation theme. He provided the shirts distributed to Arnel on his solo tour with Lanny. Very nice, indeed, but he only does Journey out of occasion for trips and things like that.

You oughta get him on here and gauge the demand for shirts... I don't know the profit margin on t-shirts, but if it's any good, I'll bet there's some money to be made on this board.

I'd like to add that at one of the shows Arnel's eyes got as big as basketballs when he saw us wearing t-shirts with his face on them. That was a really cool moment.

I agree with what the other's here have said. YoungJRNY, your brother is very talented. I bet there's money to be made with his creations. I toggled over to the official Journey site thinking I'd find that shirt in their merchandise category & when I didn't, I had to ask you where you got it. I love the Chinese lettering & even the placement of the words. It's not your traditional, unimaginative front & back lettering like you see on most other T-shirts. That's wickedly different, bro.

When you align yourself with either side of a fractured fanbase there's going to be a certain sense of loyalty involved. Especially if the side you choose is that of a paranoid mental case that would make the antics of "Sybil" seem normal. Personally, I side with the music and have enjoyed Journey concerts and the 3 times I saw Nostrildamus on his "Fuck The Other Guys In Journey" tour.

So many warm fuzzies in this thread... :P

If it's about "The Music" then it shouldn't matter if we don't get behind this lineup, wouldn't you say? We can just do as Neal suggested and stay home and listen to our CDs, or better yet, watch the DVDs of the real deal. (And I mean the entire band, not just SMFP! 8) )

The stats really aren't lying: they're approaching DOUBLE platinum when hardly anyone in rock not named U2 or Coldplay can get platinum....

Huh? What do I need to stfu about? I agree with both posts. I made the review of praising not bitching and agree it's all about the music, that's why I enjoy myself immensely when it came to every show I attended, not worrying about if Arnel/Augeri/Soto missed the high not in Separate Ways, or Ask the Lonely. Vocally, every concert I've seen been top notch and different so any miscue's of the singer never bothered me like some people. It IS indeed about the music for me (leaving matters of the band that's been circulating over the years and not paying attention to any personal issues when it comes to their personal privacy), or obviously I wouldn't spend hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of cash on this band.

At 3:00-3:06 and at 3:34- 3:38 look at the left of the stage when Neal is doing his solo. Look front row and you see me jumping up and down right in front there. I'm the only one jumping so it's not hard picking me out. That's when I snapped the pic of Neal's photo. Pretty cool. Hope more turns up.

It was a joke. But, I don't think your initial post was entirely about praise. Telling people they're dumb fucks if they don't agree with your assessment of the state of Jrny as it stands now isn't really complimentary, ya know? I'll give ya a pass cause you said you were buzzin', and I realize that a live show is a very different atmosphere than watching a DVD or YT video, especially when there are lots of good friends sharing in the experience. People who aren't on board with this lineup aren't stupid though, they're just not interested. :)

"Just when I think I'm out they pull me back in." Hello everyone. I've missed everybody. I have been gone for sooooo long. It really means a lot to hear all those nice things about the shirts. To answer some of those questions, when I was doing shirts for Arnel I told him and his brother that would only do shirts for them and place all the other ones on hold. Also when I was making shirts for Journeys website I could only make designs that they sent me. Not my own. I tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen. I just told Dan last week how I had a argument with the girl in charge of the tour t shirts. She was more interested in creating more designs for the Jonas Brothers. PLEASE. "CLICK." If someone here has a interest in those ones Trav and I was wearing I would be more than happy to make them some and ship them out. I can post a picture of the shirt with all views of sides back and front. I think I have to make time for this place again. Good to be back.

Good to have you back. I always liked reading your posts. I, for one, would definitely be interested in one of the tour shirts that you were wearing in the picture. That would be awesome.

I'd love to see some pictures of the shirt, and then you can sign me up for wanting to purchase one! 8)

Oh, so what you're really doing is telling Travis to STFU, right?

It was praise about the band. I admit calling the fans dumbfucks was the wrong term to use, but people will get over it. Harsher things have been said on these boards. I was just getting my point across to saying you're missing out on a ton of fun, which is the whole reason to support a band like Journey, esp. today's day in age where you have absolute SHIT for music. I'm one of those people where I come on strong to unite people like Martin Luther King and enjoy good times when other people around are enjoying the same thing. It's a great atmosphere to be in. End of story.
