Trying to get back in voice again for gigging and I love this song to get to the point. I dont know if Perry wrote these lyrics but if he did I think they are his best. I love the people he talks about and how he strings it all together is amazing. I could not find an instrumental version of this song so I had to use tools to remove the vocals from the studio track. It works but leaves some of Perry's reverb trails and to compensate I had to mix my self in louder than I would have liked and added more reverb than I would have liked. I think maybe my vocal track is a few milliseconds behind where it should be becuase my recording software has been glitchy but I am not sure. Its all in fun anyway so. Hope you like... Oh, I always thought the Tony the tiger "tried to set the night on fiiiiiiiirrrrrreeee". was a bit 80"s and my voice cant do that so I just held the note.

Hope you like...

Beautiful. I enjoyed listening. What I really like is that you didn't try to emulate Perry but instead you gave the song your vocal personality.
You have a great voice. Very well done, LD!

Thanks Laura. I have been reading up and I keep seeing that one of the worst things you can do to your voice is try to sing like someone else so..... There are certain vowel sounds that perry does that HAVE to be in there but other than that I tried to do my own thing.

I have my old ones from 06-07. Whos crying now I think was the best of those with lights being the worst. I dont know what made me think I could sing lights well in the morning ! I have learned to mix my chest voice in with my falsetto since these were done. I have thought of redoing them since I have more "thickness in my top end".. Too much work maybe..

I dont believe in love is a Queensryche tune.

Was just thinking that from hearing a couple earlier ones from you that you posted awhile back, sounds like more power now and not quite as high. Very smooth. Loved Captured By The Moment, you did a fabulous job on that! Great voice, LD. Would love to hear more also.

Liked this one...like your voice...saved an original composition you posted here previously.

Sounds pretty good, LD. CBTM is my fave song on the album...when I play it I usually hit the repeat button, oh, maybe, 20 times before I finally move on. :) I think I remember now hearing some of your Journey covers a few years back? Keep it up.
