For the record, I live within a 1/2 mile of Nassau Colosseum, can get any seat I want in this place...and I am looking forward to staying home and listening to some Dream Theater while I solder some electronics....seen much better singers of this material on numerous occasions. No need to waste any more time on this crap...

Count of Tuscany?

That whole damn album with the exception of the Cannibal Corpse crap Portnoy sings on the first track, is a complete and utter masterpiece. Best complete album the band has done in several years...

No need wasting any more time in this thread.....do you vag-crank on every post of mine or is it just a coincidence...holy shit. You don't even live on Long Island....go watch John and Bitch + 8 or something...

I'm just pleased I have new music from my favorite band to look forward to, and hopefully a couple or five more live shows. That's all I care about.

lol, that Portnoy stuff just makes me laugh every time on A Nightmare To Remember. I still wish they'd cut back a bit on the metal and incorporate the heavier stuff a little more tastefully and originally. The last few albums, the metal stuff is pretty basic open E metallica kinda stuff. It's not bad, but DT's better than that. Overall I agree though, it's a very good album.

No need to. He sings the old songs to the delight of the fans. Shows that the band's importance lies in the collective efforts of all members and that's its about the music, and not one man.

Rockindeano wrote:Until then, sorry to say, he is just a cover singer.

Let's explore why he's (Arnel) a cover singer. Perhaps it's because the "original" singer has spent 20+ years trying to come to terms with the fact that he can't sing the songs anymore and he's done everything in his power to thwart the continuance of Journey.

Rockindeano wrote:Truth is hard to get your hands around here sometimes, but you must try.

Actually, they tried that with Chalfant and Rolie (Journey And Beyond?), but a certain lying ex-member came back because he suddenly wanted back in.  He recorded and bailed. Put the blame on him.

Well, let's see what the writer has to say after the show. Pineda seems to have a way of winning people over once they've seen him do his thing live and in person.

(Note: this is in no way meant to be construed as an endorsement of Arnel Pineda, my loon credentials remain firmly in tact)

I don't get the small print disclosure. Why can't you say something nice about Arnel...even like him and appreciate his singing and still like Perry too? :? This whole loyalty thing...the split in the fan base...the I have to watch what I say so some people I like won't get pissed at me....all of that is a bunch of crap. Shoot....everyone here likes more music then Journey's so why can't people accept that someone may like more then one person who has sang in the band? Geesh...of course everyone has their preferences but feeling that one can't say something nice about another of the singers on here is ridiculous. If you have something nice to say then don't apologize for it...say what you think because if someone is going to judge you on what you just said and take it that your now "anti-Perry" they would be mighty small minded.

It's because Jubes is racist.

Tito has another screen name??

OMG, that's the best comeback on here in a long time. Good one, BS.

Brilliant? LOL, throw some falsities in there, Perry lied this and Perry lied that, 700,000 units moved but considered platinum? and a DVD that a small core group will purchase. The facts are Perry does cast a shadow on Journey each and every day, they should not be playing Nassau Coliseum because they cannot fill it, and JSS is certainly not mediocre.

Hey but whatever. Enjoy it if you want to.

PS- The bands' importance lies in rolling out the same old tired songs, because it's easier this way and takes no real work.

I know that GB has created a specific thread for video clips BUT there is something "unusually good" about this clip.

Great audio quality and not only close-up but multi-angled shots. Dunno how a normal/regular audience/uploader can do the trick. It's almost DVD quality!

Any thoughts? :?:

Not unless Nassau Coliseum shot the entire concert with the intention of selling it? In the info section, the Uploader wrote:

Yeah. Many people do this. They shoot the video and record the show in audio separately, then merge them together. if there are great shots, they may have been taken off the monitor as this is common practice in professional bootleggers.
