For the love of god, I have seen worse written here about New Orleans amidst Katrina and Detroit
on any given day, timings off a tad... Prayers to all!!

If it was an isolated, on rare occassion asshole comment, you might have an argument for defense...but there is a long pattern of consistancy that can't be denied.

Easily the worst state in the union. Can't balance a fucking budget, can't put out a fire, LA is run by street gangs and there are more illegals in California than the rest of the states combined. Burning the entire state might not be such a bad idea. That said, I hope no one innocent gets hurt.

I've learned to not take anything too seriously on here because I find it really hard to believe that any of those posters were truly meaning what they were saying. Be thankful Andrew. Maybe way too much rain, but it's got to be better than what's occurring in CA. Guess I won't complain so much about my weather after seeing the hell those people are going through. Fire fighters are tops on my list of heroes.

I am biased because he has said so many vile things to me personally that I can't help to be...the vast majority of which have been entirely unprovoked by me and there has been no excuse for. Even if I have said something he disagree's with there is no excuse for the vile personal attacks like he has done. He has apologized for it a few times once he's sobered up and I have accepted the apologies, given him the benefit of doubt time and time again...but he still crosses all lines of decency and attacks unprovoked every chance he gets. No, I don't take it all seriously or I wouldn't still be participating here .....but over time when certain behaviors are consistant I have to call it like it is...Dan is a completely obnoxious tool...of that he has me convinced.

That's a hard read, especially where Captain Brown talks about having to continue the work, pushing grieving back. I remember talking to one woman who did radio control for the local State Emergency Services; she said it's the weirdest thing to be relaying information about fire movements when you know the location you are giving means your own house is burning down, but at the time you have to keep going, you have to push your grief back. When the fires are over, and everything that can be done has been done, that's when you can lose it.
