Now, to get back to the topic at hand - here's hoping the humidity goes up without any electrical storms coming in setting new fires, and hopefully the air around La Canada Flintridge clears soon. How far out of suburban LA is Mt Wilson? I'm pretty fuzzy on the geography here and the maps I've pulled up don't really show population density.

There's no chance of those particular fires coming any closer to us, but we are expecting thunderstorms today so these things can basically start anywhere, including the forest in our back yard! No, hubby is back here, waiting for a back surgery call, so I had to pass up on the pre-sale 'cause who knows when that will be. I'm sure I can get a ticket if it works out that I can come out in November, so there's still a possibility . . .

Ok, thanks for that. All I've got is a google map, and while I'm great with map directions, I'm shite at extrapolating distances. Still not sure if I should be worrying so much about a friend in Pasadena I can't get hold of - on the map it looks horribly close, but it could be miles away for all I know. I hate having people I know near bushfires - horrible memories.
