Great audio quality and not only close-up but multi-angled shots. Dunno how a normal/regular audience/uploader can do the trick.

Wow. Those are definitely shots from the cameras that are used for the video boards. How did someone get video of that? And it might be soundboard audio, too.

The way the audio sounds, that *could* be possible. It sounds like soundboard audio. Either that, or they had two or three different tapers recording the audio in the audience and made a matrix to get the best quality sound. But a matrix takes time, and this was out the day after the show.

I like how their adding in a bit of change ups in the songs in concert. It gives some freshness to old songs and is a fun way to get audience participation. Arnel has come a long way and has proven himself, imo. He deserves to be where he is.

Yeah. Many people do this. They shoot the video and record the show in audio separately, then merge them together. if there are great shots, they may have been taken off the monitor as this is common practice in professional bootleggers.

Thanks for the enlightenment, Rockin'D! 8)

But what happened to the "No Video Camera" policy. You mean they were recording on a tripod with the camera focused on the monitor throughout the concert and none among the security saw/noticed them at all?

If this was *leaked, I wish they would do more of it. Someone who has not seen a live show and has watched most of the fan taken videos could easily think Journey sounds like shit because most of the videos do sound like shit. This sounds very good. :D :D :D

You can't produce one single instance of me saying I disliked Pineda or didn't thinkhe was a great guy or that he wasn't a terrific singer. the only disparaging remark I made against AP was his lack of professionalism on super Bowl Sunday and the fact his fans thought he should have been the Game's halftime act. I did say AP could learn a thing or ten from watching Bruce Springsteen perform, and I bet Pineda did watch him, and I bet he learned a few things too.

You are correct, you have never said anything negative about Pineda, I believe he has learned from all the singers he has seen on stage opening for the band.

with the exception of the pitch issues on some of the held out notes, Arnel sounds great.

I just really wish this band would stop doing the Augeri-vamp/jam at the end.

I think becoming a great singer is a process that takes time to learn and develope. I know Arnel sang for a lot of years in his homeland, but I'd bet last year was a shock to him being pulled out of obscurity and suddenly touring with a big name band and facing thousands of fans at a time, rather than a handful like back home. You can really see the growth this year and it seems like he's become more confident. I think the Journey collective will look back on this year as being pretty damn good for them.

And, you're right. Deano has never really said anything bad about Arnel and despite his personal feelings about some of the band, it was big of him to give this compliment where due. Very cool Deano! :D

Um, because to me it lacks some level of originality. Arnel is basically copying Augeri's vocal inflections that he did when he was a member of the band. Since it's an 'improvisational' section, it tends to reflect poorly on Arnel's ability to inject any originality into the section.

It wouldn't be enough to say that I think that vamp was very much an 'Augeri' thing and that they should leave it alone and do something else...but the fact that Arnel is copying Augeri's vocal lines doesn't cast very highly on Arnel.

I'm sure they can come up with something else...or even better....and I would like to hear Arnel's originality come through. It's hard to judge this guy, good OR bad, when all he's doing is painting by numbers. Granted, I'm sure the one holding the Glock to his head is making him do it....but fuck. Let the little fucker sing. That'd go a long way to alleviating the need he seems to have to prove himself....

I'm still in the process of knowing the REAL Rockindeano. For now, I do really appreciate the fact that despite of our differences (or INdifferences), we can still find a common ground in which we can agree upon when it comes to giving credit where and when it is due.

As for the extended jam- I love the idea, however; I would take the opportunity to write a new script/scene for it, and introduce the band members through a skit/story. The jams are creative, when they are original. It sounds good but like Frank said, it is a copy of the SA version. Just my 5 bucks worth.

isla, tell AP to mention to Neal or Friga, that I can write a cool little diddy for an extended jam that they can use.

Listen, that fat round overweight Keeble Elf knows I can roll his ass in a hurry. He knows I would too. Ask him if you don't believe me. I almost ended his weekend in Vegas on a Friday night before the show on Saturday. He made a complete asshole of himself. Azoff should fire his ass yesterday- he is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Quick JT story.

Clearwater, FL- February 2006

After the rehearsal shows as they were being called with Soto leading, JT was desperately trying to get these not very attractive females to notice him and even talk to him. He whips out about 5 meet n greet passes with his mustard stained digits(dude obviously mowed some Burger King prior to the show), and gives them away. The girls completely blow him off and walk right past his sorry ass and go meet the band. I never laughed so hard under my breath. They had to stop as they got closer to the band so as they stood there, JT was leaning against a railing. The fuckin railing gave way and that fat bastard tumbled backwards! If he would have seen me he would have thought I turned into a Cherokee Indian because my face was beet red from holding it in and laughing so hard. He knew then and knows now he will never get any tail worth a shit.

Journey won't dig this at all. They are anti- bootlegs. I buy Springsteen boots all the time- there is one from each and every show, and Bruce advocates boots, loves em.... The uploader shoots the big screen and records the show, and then merges them together and then throws an equalizer to them. Looks like what happened here as well.

Even though this is an audience boot, the quality is very good.
