OT - Eric Ragno On Arfm's Purrfect Timing 9/4/09

Postby MCC620 » Fri Sep 04, 2009 11:50 am

Just want to be sure everybody tunes in tomorrow, September 4 between 11:00am and 1:00pm pacific time. He'll be talking about the Twilight of Destiny album of course, but Eric has been involved with so many great melodic rock projects, and he will be announcing some new things, most notably a new melodic rock project that board regulars will want to know about.

Interview tomorrow

Postby chynablue » Fri Sep 04, 2009 12:29 pm

HAHAHA MARIA!!!! Thanks for the plug! :)

We've got a great show lined up for tomorrow, we're gonna play some of the work I've done with the likes of Ted Poley, JSS and a slew of others, and talk about what that was like working with these guys. We're also gonna talk about the China Blue record, and some exciting news that involves some folks you read a lot about here. I hope everyone can tune in. See you there!

I had it on at my desk computer, but work was so busy I couldn't sit down and listen to it. Barely heard a few bits here and there.

I heard quite a bit of it. I'll let Eric fill you in on the details. It's going to be a big surprise to a lot of you, for sure.

Damn you Rick!!! It's not supposed to be a secret anymore... It was broadcast on the radio! Just spill the beans man!!! :D

This whole announcement reminds me of when people are assholes and say "guess what?" Then they say "never mind". I hate surprises!!!! :x

Postby chynablue » Sat Sep 05, 2009 9:21 am

Hey Jim, HAHAHA guess what? NEVERMIND!

I'm sorry man, after your PM this morning and this subtle pot-shot here, I have to either laugh or get your phone # to discuss this personally. Thanks to the people who tuned in, and I look forward to the dialog that is likely to follow.

Why should I have to? I'm interested if there is a collaboration or a CD coming out, but it is up to the artist to reach me not vice versa.

What "pot-shot" are you referring to? Nobody had said anything in this thread since this morning, and I wanted to know what was said in the interview! I don't know how you would think that's an insult... unless... You don't think I was calling YOU an asshole do you? :? I was just saying that when we hear of an announcement, but have to wait to find out what the deal is... it reminds me of when people (some assholes I know) say "guess what...nevermind". If you think I was talking about you, I apologize.

Now if you'd like my phone number, I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you. I was trying to show support for your music. If you'd really like my number, just shoot me a PM.

I agree Duncan... I don't get it! :? People here (myself included) are interested to hear the news. Andrew even put it on the front page about the interview... Why is it such a damn secret?

Hey Jim, thanks for your post. If you'd still like to discuss the item that you addressed to me in PM, please do shoot over your # and when would be a good time to call. I'd like to straighten this out before it gets crazy, ya know.

I'm fairly certain the podcast of today's show will be posted here sometime tonight.

Thanks & rock on.

What's the time in Dallas now? What iIm alluding to, unless this announcement/news has only just been broadcast, is that it doesn't appear to be generating the anticipated discussion. Maybe no one was listening.

I listened to the radio show. I missed some details because I got busy, but I know what's going on. I'm going to let Eric announce it when he's ready. The song they played sounded fantastic though.

Maybe they didn't announce it on the radio show. Perhaps they did one of Andrew's guess the artists thing?

Anyways really should hit the sack. 3.35am here.
