Why's the 16-year-old thing creepy? There's been posters in that age range here before, or so people are alluding to.

Well for me the fact that the band you are posting about where in their prime in the 70's and 80's...were you born then??

What the fuck does that matter?

Well somone seems to have enough knowledge to review all of the albums....I don't know..is there not some background required???

Yeah, listening to the music. Thankfully, bands from that era recorded the music on these things called vinyl and compact discs for people to enjoy for years to come. Completely asinine of you.

Yeah I love you too!!

I love both of you... let's have a group hug! And no funny stuff Matt.

Dear ChildInTime: For me it goes beyond what Portland mentioned in my quote above b/c I would have no right to judge in reference to the band’s prime since I, myself, was not born until 1978 which means I didn't appreciate the band until Raised On Radio & beyond. For me the “creeped out” factor has to do with you being a minor versus being an adult. I'm pretty liberal regarding anything after the age of 18. Anything before that age & my "dad" personae takes over turning me into Ward Cleaver. I'm old fashioned when it comes to children & at 16 you're still a child.

This site is designed to be about music but as anyone here can attest to, it goes beyond its intended scope. There are at times profanity as well as photographs & conversations of a sexual nature that a child should not be exposed to--- some of which I am guilty of myself. It's unrealistic to think that people will mind their "P's" & "Q's" b/c a handful of minors may be lurking; hence we have the “creeped out” factor.

Incidentally, I'm not trying to make you feel unwelcome. I'm just answering your question. You have every right to be here. Carry on..............

Is it different cause it's a female? I agree on a lot of counts, but it's not like she's gonna see worse stuff here than anywhere else on the 'net or even the TV. It's not like she's 10 and logging on here...

I enjoyed CIC's reviews very much--it looks like you put some thought into them; you love Neal and appreciate his abilities; you're unbiased--yup, I thorougly enjoyed reading them. Refreshing really. The more you listen to this music, the more hooked you are going to be. My favorite "album" is a live bootleg of a concert they did at Comiskey Park and if my son were here, I would get him to upload them. It would be interesting to see what you thought of this version... I bet there are others on here who have this bootleg and know how to do it if you are interested...

Jailbait? Nobody is trying to seduce the poor kid. This is not an adults only forum. Although the talk here is most certainly adult oriented.

Why's the 16-year-old thing creepy? There's been posters in that age range here before, or so people are alluding to.

Well for me the fact that the band you are posting about where in their prime in the 70's and 80's...were you born then??

I didn't catch that she is a girl, but to answer your question: No it doesn't matter. Male or female I still see jailbait.

I mean it weirds me out too in much the same way and I'm a lot younger than most here, but still, we can't stop her from comin here, can we?
Now Im not gonna be able to have any fun on here anymore She is the same age as my daughter. I sure wouldnt want her to read all the stuff that goes on around here!  :( :(

Huh? Her initial post had more swear words than a sailor's almanac. What's the big deal?

I understand, Rick. Maybe it's b/c I have a daughter. Sure, she's only 5 right now, but I'm just saying. I can't imagine her in 10 years (give or take) reading the kinds of things that are written here & seeing the kinds of pictures that are posted.
