And I'm pretty sure most of the casual fans attending the concert won't even know WCTNGOF nor Patiently. So if some of us who frequent this board would like songs we've never heard live or that were never sung live that are older versus Rev, big deal - IMHO, of course.   I chose the older songs for one reason. Arnel is getting older and I've never heard those songs live and this is probably the only year he can pull it off. WIN will be on the DVD and I can hear that another time. But I'm extremely happy with either combo. I'm just happy with any new mixup in the setlist period, actually.

 I don't even know what WCTNGOF stands for.

Oh, I see. You're more of a Let's Get It Done As Quick As Possible And Get to Sleep and not a Why Can't This Night Go On Forever kind of guy.

How'd you know , I bet your husband do the same thing

LOL
After being married for over 30 years, I can promise you this husband does this.

Sex...nap....more sex....more nap....

Holy crap over 30 years? How old were you when you got married, 15? Dude, if you're married with the same woman for over 30 years. you're my idol, otherwise forget about it  8)

I sent mine to San Francisco for the weekend. I'm having to pour my own Guinness for a few days but she deserved a break so I'll manage.

Yeah, she walked me through the procedure before she left. Im a quick study, a little shakey on the first few pints but I've got the hang of it now.

I guarantee you if you put AP a studio environment on that song he will turn out a rendition that will rival the original. Perry never sang WCTNGOF live. Keeping songs out? That's just more of the same loony shit that keeps getting spewed around this place. These are Journey's songs.....Get it? Journey can play whatever songs are in their catalog. It's their band, not Steve Perry's.

I concur.

Classic Journey still leading new Journey in the voting but the gap has decreased considerably.

I don't think this song works out well live. ????

They should find a way to make it work.

They already have, they cut off the last minute of the song. That keeps it manageable for Arnel's vocal cords.
He could probably get away with it once in awhile but if he had to do that FOREVER AND EEVER AND EEEEEVER on a regular basis, I think he would develop voice issues down the road. I could be wrong but do we really want to find out if I'm not?

We'll find out as soon as the Youtubes are posted for tonight's concert. I heard by a post from Fabbest at AP's site that they may have played WCTNGOF....the whole song. It's separated from Patiently which was in the encore.

They need not perform it at every concert. They can choose the date and venue. I also would like the band to showcase one Journey song they have not performed every other every week, if it's not too much to ask.

You should have asked three months ago Chubs, they've only got three weeks left.
It appears they sang the complete versions of both songs tonight, maybe they'll try to keep them in the setlist since the tours just about finished.
Then again, did they have an opening act tonight or did they have a two hour show?
