They'll be releasing a snippet of all the songs before the release date. I was thinking like you and expecting a harder rocking song. Kelly definitely sounds like himself here, though.

I already pre-ordered the new CD from Walmart. I'm going to be pissed if it's full of bubble gum music. I was hoping that "Too Late" was more indicative of the new stuff they would be doing. It's going to be on the new CD, but I wouldn't consider it a new song because it was on "No End in Sight." My favorite Foreigner song, if you couldn't tell, is Starrider. It was the song that got everyone up and rocking when I saw them in July. I would love a disc full of stuff along those lines.

Not as hooky as When It Comes To Love but its only 30 secs so it may yet surprise us. I remember one of the Revs samples being that way.

Mick Jones and Kelly Hansen were on Fox Sports Radio here in LA and they talked about the new CD and it's dedicated to NASCAR. They both talked about the legacy of Lou Gramm and likened it to SP in Journey. They took shit for the rerecords though.

I just read an interview where the reporter brought up Gramm being upset about the writing credits on I want to know what love is. To Mick's credit he didn't get drawn in, just kept everything very cordial with his remarks about Lou.

Well Queenie, when Perry's disc comes out in a few months, we'll see what outsells what. New perry will sell more than revelation, but then you get the x3 factor, or fuzzy math on your side. I should ring up Espee and tell him to make his return disc a 4fer, that way he can move 250K and call it platinum. Argh this pisses me off to no fucking end!

LOL!!! Whatever Revelation's actual units moved is at right now, be it 750-800k I GUARANTEE if kinnison puts something out it doesn't match or top it. 15 yrs out and it's STILL stalled at around Gold and yet you think in this climate he's actually gonna command MORE sales???

Obviously I am a big Kelly Hansen fan and tend to love anything he sings. I do also hope more rockers on the new CD. I have really enjoyed hearing Too Late over the last year live, and would like to see a few of the more up tempo songs from the CD added to their set list. They are still touring through November, but if they really want to promote the new CD, more dates (with new songs) should be added. Hope they don't let the new CD just drop.

All it takes is a radio single, some good PR and a known voice. Not a knock on your guys- Just ask Neal...the voice is the face of the song. If Espee releases a great song followed by a mediocre album; it blows revelations away.

There are artists out there now who have more sales of a single song than complete albums. The day of monster album sales is passing, thanks to Itunes ability to allow people to buy individual tracks.
Do a song on Dancing with the Stars or AI and you can give a new tune a good bump in the digital download world.

A single's a single, not an album. I'm saying there's a snowball's chance in hell he produces an album that outsells Revelation.
And DWTS or AI would want him, why, exactly? We can rule out current relevance and profile due to keeping in the public eye with song releases and concert tours.
Would they have him on b/c he went to a 9 Inch Nails concert recently?

I agree with this. Even Journey won't out sell Revelation on their next release. Album sales have degenerated another 25 percent over the last year alone.
I'm not saying Perry will be on those shows. I'm just presenting a viable avenue to get Artists noticed. With all the T.V. exposure Journey has had over the last 18 months, there are still people going to the concerts who still don't know the name of the lead singer, let alone the general public's knowledge of anyone singing for Journey beyond Steve perry..
There are only a few shows out there that can make you a household name. Oprah, for one.
