What's said at the end of Don't Tell Me Why You're Leaving?

Postby Art Vandelay » Wed Sep 09, 2009 12:03 am

I was listening to DTMWYL on the way into work this morning. Love the song, played it a million times....but for the first time, I heard something at the very end that I never heard before. In the last few seconds of the fade-out, you can hear Steve say something along the lines of "Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for the fabulous Moodrings." It's very faint and in the background, but listen closely and you'll hear it.

Have any of you ever heard this before? Anyone know who the Moodrings were (or whatever name he is saying)? Were they his Street Talk back-up band?

I'd try to figure it out but that would require me to listen to DTMWYL.

I like the song. Not a traditional Perry vocal, but an authentic tribute to his roots. It screams of Otis Redding...literally!

I listened to it and heard him say "Let's hear it for the fabulous Moodrings" but I have no idea who they are, maybe do a search for them on the net or something. 8)
