So, if I understand it correctly, a dedicated Journey forum WILL NOT have a lot of the threads we have here.
Single word thread
NFL/NCAA/Sports in general
Politics
Genre songs (haunting /old/ current favorites)
RIP
and ect.

I think that would be great.
This forum will still be a lot of fun and the Journey forum can be more like the way the Styx and Survivor boards tend to be. On topic 90% of the time, only about the bands, their tours and music projects.

Just an ordinary plokker here giving my two cents. It's your board, you can do whatever you want but since you asked for an opinion........

I don't know how can you not a have a Journey forum, it's the Journey fans that made this board famous. Even if the band is not grateful to having a board dedicated to them, you should at least thought of the fans. What would you rather have, an ungrateful band with passionate fans that rock your board (with more than 580k views) or a very grateful band/artist that has less following, with more than 50k views to date?

Plus Journey is one of the most melodic rock band getting a second life. I will bet you, that if you put a separate Journey forum it will surpass the views/hits of all the artist forums right now combined (except this one, of course), within a short period of time. There will be lots of things to talk like another surprise song, Oprah show, another album to record, the MOA DVD, the documentary of Arnel, etc.

Derailment cannot be avoided but we can always go back to topic.

I'm quite surprised, I've barely posted at all in the SP forum.....and I thought for sure I'd be all over that. But honestly, besides some of the pics I've never seen before and the interviews to read.......there isn't much going on to interest me there. Maybe that will change when it gets closer to his cd being released. But I spend all my time in the JSS, EM (busy guys) and Journey forum (more for the people and checking out the odd youtube).

Why not put the Styx forum as the number two forum under this one? Those fans have kept their place going for quite a while now. It's been months since Journey topics actually dominated this board (Not counting Perry threads). Let the Journey forum earn its way back up to the position immediately under this forum.

Who was complaining about the OT stuff???? I don't think it was the Perry fans that still post in the Journey Forum...I think it was the Journey Fans??? I may be wrong...I personally like the OT stuff and that is some of the reason I still posted in the Journey Forum.
