Absolutely....and that's the litmus test, right then and there....

Kanye saw a young white girl from country music step in on what he thinks is his turf....and he was going to show her up on national tv. So he grabbed the mic out of her hands and gave her a tongue lashing.

I know it's hard for some of you (and impossible for hags like Phyllis)...but think back to when you were 19 years old...and someone 5-10 years older than you verbally bitch slapped you in front of your family or friends at school or something. Now think about how absolutely awful it was for this poor girl to have to deal with being verbally abused by a scumbag on national tv. It's not enough to humiliate her with a few jabs in the press after the fact....that motherfucking racist piece of shit had to go up on stage and rub her face in it, right there in front of everyone watching on tv.

What the other night did expose, is just how strong and admirable someone like Taylor Swift is. She could have run off stage, tears in her eyes....like any 19 year old girl would have done in that situation. Instead, she strapped on her guitar and sang 5 minutes later....

I'm surprised so many women have jumped to that piece shit's defense here. I guess its not enough, unless it's physical abuse. Verbal abuse, reverse racism and public ridicule isn't off-putting enough.

and what did you just perpetrate, Frank?! I'm not about to stick up for this West guy....what he did was completely wrong....but looks like you and he have something in common and you like to hurl some unprovoked verbal abuse towards a female yourself.

Get a freakin' life already.

The guy is a douche; he has to go around and pick on a tiny white girl. I'd like to see him try that with Pink. She would kick his slimey ass to the ground and he would be wearing the crap that comes out of it.

This also keeps up Kayne bad guy image. Every movie needs a villain and hero. Kayne is more than willing to play the villain and Taylor (probably unknown to her) can play the perfect sweetheart/hero. Plus, MTV gets pub.

You always have to be suspicous of everything & everybody, dontcha?
Your (1) doesnt even make sense... Beyonce didnt announce (Oh Im gonna make this right and bring her back out once Im on stage),,,, She won , then when she got up, she decided to get Taylor back out there,,,, and (2), most the time they dont go straight back to their seats...

But lets just go with your idea and give you the satisfaction of blowing everyone's cover,,,,, Good Job Tito,,,, here is your reward

The Beyonce thing happened a solid two hours after the Kayne diss. She had plenty of time to get her skinny, pasty ass back to her seat.

The Eminem/Sacha Baron Cohen thing was different... that was an OBVIOUS staging. They had the cameras blocked for it, never cut away when Eminem had his "tantrum". Plus, Eminem was back and in full participation for Sunday's thing.

With the Kanye thing - they cut the mic totally off and MTV cut to one of the Tracy Morgan skits but quick.

They did not cut the mic off. Taylor said one more thing (Thanks to someone) and finished...then they went to the scheduled Tracy Morgan skit. I happened to also catch the replay last night and tried to watch for other details. The one thing I noticed is when Taylor got on stage, a cameraman ran over towards Beyonce, which conveniently paid dividends when they caught her shocked look.

Beyonce was sitting in the front row, almost center.

Wow, what would a cameraman be doing hanging around front and center of the stage during a live broadcast? Clearly a conspiracy.

If I cared much about this I might be arsed to catch one of the next 4000 replays to investigate, but I'm not wasting another few hours with my TV set to MTV.

When Taylor got up for her award, it was before her performance. Notice when she came back out when Beyonce called on her, she had a different dress on from her performance. They go back stage after they perform so it makes sense to me that she wasn't in her seat when Beyonce called her out.

She won the award (in white dress), perform very shortly after (in red dress) roughly 15 minutes later after winning the award and still had the red dress on 2 HOURS later when she came back on stage from BACKSTAGE (Beyonce thing). Notice, everyone else who performed after her performance we're back in their seats. This thing was clearly staged, at the bare minimum the Beyonce/Taylor ending was.

Dummy, he wasn't over there originally, he ran over there. Why show her while Taylor was accepting the award.

Very possibly, even probably, the Beyonce / Taylor thing was set up to sort of recover what happened earlier, but I don't honestly believe the Kanye thing was set up.

So, because I didn't see that happen the one time I watched it and made a comment about why a camera person MIGHT be there makes me dumb? Fuck off.

Security should have leapt on stage and manhandled the guy into the wings and then let Pink loose on him.

I don't know about they guy being racist, that's a separate issue, but on this occasion he just showed the whole world what a rude, arrogant young man he is.

I vaguely remember hearing that he had recently lost his mother and I thought, "poor guy."
And whenever I hear or read his name now I just think "that's the tw*t who can't string two coherent words together and who made a fool of himself by embarrassing Taylor Swift and Beyonce."

Also, my further two cents,
I doubt that Beyonce acted on her own. She may well have had the idea to give Taylor her moment back, but I'm sure she would have had to get permission from the show Producers first because of the time constraints of a live show.
Whoever decided to do it made a good decision in my book.

I think so, being a brat has nothing to do with race. What he did was rude not racist... bad manners come in all colors...what get me is a group of people trying to tell another group of people (who has suffered nothing but various levels of racism in this country for hundreds of years) how to feel about racism... if you beat someone long enough justified or not everytime you raise your hand that person will automatically think they're going to be beaten.... I don't think you truly understand how people of color have suffered from racism in this country, I don't think you understand because that shoe has never fit your foot. kanye is not an asshole because he is racist he is an asshole because he just is an asshole plain and simple.and may I add this because of his actions Kanye lost a lot of black fans too. qoute from many black fans " I can't believe he did that" respect for kanye has fallen greatly because of his "Jackass behavior".

I agree it may have been preplanned, and maybe she was "asked" even if she would do that for Taylor. But she STILL had to agree to it and she didn't have to do it, so I really respect that. I really think it still had to come down to being a choice for Beyonce. They weren't going to steal Beyonce's moment from her unless she would allow it. Like Beyonce said, she remembers winning her award at 17 and what it meant to her, so you KNOW she felt bad for Taylor. And that was a GREAT way for Kanye to feel like more of an ass too. Not only did his favorite artist/video win a bigger award, but then he stole HER moment too!!

Kanye is a racist and he lost black fans because not all black people are as stupid as him. They must really be putting something in all the people's water that are saying this isn't at least partially racially motivated. Give me a break! MTV is the one of the toilet bowls of society and of television. They live for this kind of shit.

If analyzing a situation is rude, then fuck me sideways. You just called me a racist completely unprovoked, how's that for rude? You say black people are not divided? You mean to tell me that every black person shares the exact same core of beliefs and values? I doubt it. Kanye is a moron, regardless of color - just so happens his idiocy fuels his racism. That ain't racist or rude to point out.

not a copout.. look in the mirror and ask yourself why am I so angry over the actions of one asshole who happens to be black?..is it because he is black that the anger is so much more intensed toward him? I think he is an asshole because of his personality not because he is a racist as you say. I also hope this mess wasn't staged because if it was it has gone out of control and if it wasn't he should have had his drunken ass kicked on the way out of the door.

Yes it is the reason why it's more intensified for me, but it's not the reason per se, it's the reason incidentally. It's a despicable act whether he as a black man did it or Boy George did it. The anger is intensified "because he's black" because reading between the lines and going off of his past conduct and statements and general buffoonery, I and many others know this was far more than a case of a "color blind" attempt to look out for a friend.

Oh, and by the way, he is an asshole because of his personality and because of his chip on the shoulder, racist beliefs. The inclusion of one doesn't exclude the other.

I have to go work soon maybe we can debate another time. been insightful talking with you . 8)

And for more evidence of the trend I've been pointing out today, here's boxing star Floyd Mayweather playing the race card.

Once you people see that many (many, not all for you illiterates) don't want racism to become a relic of the past, you will better understand the mentality and things going on and perhaps you will stop trying to play the conscientious guilty white person
