These are the real stories; ACORN is now getting heavy scrutiny as it should if it broke laws... Small potatoes compared to what's happening in the economy.

"The beleaguered Democratic-leaning community group Acorn sends over this photograph: John McCain, in March of 2006, sitting beside Florida Rep. Kendrick Meek at an event Acorn co-sponsored in Florida.
The immigration event, which other photos show was packed with red-shirted Acorn member, was co-sponsored by the local Catholic Archdiocese, the SEIU, and other groups.
McCain, still spiting much of his party on immigration at the time, was the headliner.
Bertha Lewis, Acorn's chief organizer, said in a statement that came with the photo, “It has deeply saddened us to see Senator McCain abandon his historic support for ACORN and our efforts to support the goals of low-income Americans."
”We are sure that the extremists he is trying to get into a froth will be even more excited to learn that John McCain stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN, at an ACORN co-sponsored event, to promote immigration reform," she said."
STOP TRYING TO PORTRAY THIS AS AN OBAMA ONLY ISSUE. TYPICAL RIGHT WING EXTREMESTS. ACORN HAS DONE WRONG BUT STOP WITH THE GUILT BY ASSOCIATION CRAP. YOUR BOY McCAIN WAS HANGING OUT AS WELL AND THIS WAS ALSO SPONSORED BY THE CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE. GUESS THEY ARE SOCIALISTS TOO.![]()
There is enough corruption to go around with both parties. I'm sick of all the Obama bashing.

Sorry, but I wasn't into the relentless Bush bashing. Seems like schoolyard taunting.
It's really a bloodsport.

I'd say sever the ties. My only concern was if these were just a bunch of bozos within the group and not the big picture. Kind of like the videos of some of the retards at Burger King putting snots in the burgers or something like that. Does that make Burger King bad or just some of the idiots who work for them.

ACORN is a criminal organization....not just because of these videos but also because of their past voter fraud convictions.
If you want to "have it your way", ACORN is to crime what Burger King is to burgers!!! And Obama cut his teeth in the criminal organization!!!

Looked this up on a GOP blog: "to date some 70 Acorn employees in 12 states have been convicted of voter registration fraud". Sounds bad, but there are 400,000 Acorn members. Not exactly a large percentage of bad there (1/100th of 1%). I say don't give them another dime until a criminal investigation is done on the organization itself. Then, let the chips fall where they may.

Remember, that's all THAT GOT CONVICTED!!! That doesn't include pending trials, the crime's committed in these videos or those who have gotten away with their criminal activities altogether!!!

That's true but like I said, let's have a full investigation of the organization. This will better tell us if this is systemic within the group or not. If so, kill em dead.

Let me first state for the record that W. is the only reason that Jimmy Carter wasn't the worst president of my lifetime. That said, I saw some interviews with him and during one of them, he said that racism was "alive and well in the south". Considering that he is a born and bred southerner, he's entitled to an opinion. Something else that further cements his point are the objective numbers from the election. 43% of whites across the country voted for Obama. In Louisiana, 14% of whites voted for Obama. In Mississippi, a whopping 11% of whites voted for Obama, while in Alabama only 10% of whites voted for Obama. I tend to agree with Carter...racism is alive and well in this country and in certain parts of this country, it's a badge of honor. Having said all of that, I think it's fucking absurd to accuse people of being racist for no other reason, other than they don't agree with the policies of Barack Obama. People disagree with the policies of EVERY president, regardless of the color of his skin. If you're going to be arrogant enough to seek the highest office in the land, you better have some REALLY thick skin!

I think these percentages of whites in these same states would look pretty similiar to what John Kerry got in 2004.

Don't forget, some of the biggest socialism going on now and including the end of Bush's term is the money spent propping up Wall Street Bankers. Some capitalism! I'd love to have a company that made profits when times are good and have the taxpayers cover my losses when times are bad. Mega socialism right there! Just not for us working stiffs. We get butt-fucked as usual. Oh, and while those banks are at it stealing our money they are raising interest rates on credit cards to cover more losses. We just can't win.

Without going and looking at the numbers for recent Democratic candidates in those states, I won't deny that racism has something to do with those numbers this time around... but I suspect the racism only made it easier to disagree with his agenda for many.

How can you make that statement without knowing if the #'s are the same, or if Kerry got a lower %?
