Hard to have remorse when the alternative was just as bad.

Seriously....It's hard to think Obama would have been better off remaining the junior senator from Illinois and John McCain would have been better as president. We would have been equally fucked....

Do you want to die via self-inflicted gun shot wound or mob-style 22-cal hit to the back of the head. At the end of the day, you're still dead of the same wound....the only difference is who pulled the trigger!

Totally disagree. McCain might be an old half senile white guy, but he is not a marxist. He would not have surrounded himself with the radicals of the 60's as O has done. He would not attempt a Gov takeover of Healthcare, Banking,Autos and Housing like O has done. He would not have dissed the Brits and he would not have surrendered to Putin like O did today on Missle Defense.

Yep, he wouldve just sat on his old ass and let this country fall even worse than it did during Bush's time,,

Dude, we only use The Won because the arrogant bastard said it himself just 2 or 3 days into office. You guys sure have a hard time keeping up. The LA Times did the "Barack the Magic Negro" bit, Rush does a parody of it and you guys jump on Rush. The Won tells a Congressional meeting "I Won" and we use it and you think we're cute. Remember he also said something early in the campaign like, "I'm the One you've been waiting for." Play on words Deano. You're gonna hear it for 3 more years and after that he'll be gone and I wont need to use it anymore.

Wanna bet !?

If he's gone 3 years from now, I will put it in my signature " I have learned a tough but good lesson that Im always wrong and Fact Finder is always right"...
and if he isnt gone you will put this in your signature "I may be called fact finder, but I usually try pass crap as fact and people usually dont notice it"

The sig remains for ONE FULL YEAR !:)

I'm stunned!

Prepare to be shocked, stunned and amazed........

Camille Paglia, the Salon.com columnist.

“First of all, I reject the idea that the “birther” campaign is motivated by racism. There may be racism among it, but there are legitimate questions about the documentation of Obama’s birth certificate. I’m sorry, I’ve been following this closely from the start. To assume that all those signs about the birth controversy were motivated by racism, that is simply wrong. Simple questions about the certificate were never resolved to my satisfaction”

 A Lesbian Democrat Athiest is now saying this?

So much for your stupid birther movement. From Salon.com as well:

"Orly Taitz gets laughed out of court- Orly Taitz, the de facto leader of the Birthers -- the people who believe President Obama doesn't meet the Constitution's eligibility requirements for his job -- is nothing if not persistent. So she'll probably be back in court soon enough. But the fairly epic smackdown she received at the hands of a federal judge Wednesday is bound to be discouraging."

"The problem is there were still all sorts of problems with Taitz's case. And in a scorching order dismissing the suit, United States District Judge Clay Land, a Bush appointee, let her know all about them. He also threatened her with sanctions if she files any more "similarly frivolous ... actions in this Court."

"Land pointed out that despite Taitz's claim that the president hasn't provided "satisfactory" proof of his birth in Hawaii, he has released an official document proving just that. And, he said, "Plaintiff’s challenge to her deployment order is frivolous. She has presented no credible evidence and has made no reliable factual allegations to support her unsubstantiated, conclusory allegations and conjecture that President Obama is ineligible to serve as President of the United States."

"Finally, in a remarkable shifting of the traditional legal burden of proof, Plaintiff unashamedly alleges that Defendant has the burden to prove his “natural born” status. Thus, Plaintiff’s counsel, who champions herself as a defender of liberty and freedom, seeks to use the power of the judiciary to compel a citizen, albeit the President of the United States, to “prove his innocence” to “charges” that are based upon conjecture and speculation. Any middle school civics student would readily recognize the irony of abandoning fundamental principles upon which our Country was founded in order to purportedly “protect and preserve” those very principles ....

I love how the Libs loved to toss around how much other countries hated what we were doing when W was Prez (like taking cheap oil outta France's hands by invading Iraq), but are tight-lipped as we butt-fuck countries like Poland on this Missile Defense back down.

Happy 70th anniversary of the Soviets invading you.....OH..and we're not going to help protect you like we promised!

Don't forget, some of the biggest socialism going on now and including the end of Bush's term is the money spent propping up Wall Street Bankers. Some capitalism! I'd love to have a company that made profits when times are good and have the taxpayers cover my losses when times are bad. Mega socialism right there! Just not for us working stiffs. We get butt-fucked as usual. Oh, and while those banks are at it stealing our money they are raising interest rates on credit cards to cover more losses. We just can't win.

Unfortunately, you can't let the banks fail though.

It wouldn't be good if they failed all at once but you can shut them down 1 at a time and sell of the good assets and have the FDIC cover the deposits. Someone will always be there to buy them up at the right price. Unfortunately, they continue to pretend that their assets are worth more than they are. No one will buy them at full price. They are just sucking us dry anyway. 700 billion down the tubes and the reports from yesterday by some of the experts say they are in worse shape than before we bailed them out. The pain has to be taken to clear all the excess leverage from the system. We cannot take any more leverage as the debt load is too great. Sad but true. It's gonna be painful no matter who's the President.

Just following your lead.....ridiculous statements with no backing. Not keeping your word to allies, like Obama did today, is what is making this country fall. I've offered plans, ideas for Social security and health care in this thread..... and people like you watch your late night comedy shows to come up with silly quips. This great country has the potential to be hurt greatly by Obama's agenda.

Not that simple...in fact, many would have failed at once. Credit would still be frozen had we not acted. As much as I would have liked to have seen what you proposed...it just wouldn't have worked.

You need me to prove to you that Bush fucked up this country the 8 years he was in the office , then YOURE the one who gets your ideas from a late night show.
Anything that Obama is TRYING right now it to get this great country back on it's feet.
Obama may not have all the answers but he is TRYING. Bush was more worried about personal gains than this country's interests.
You didn't have any fucking plans to offer when Bush was in charge. Where were you hiding then. Or let me guess , Bush was great and during his time we had the best economy ever.

Not that simple...in fact, many would have failed at once. Credit would still be frozen had we not acted. As much as I would have liked to have seen what you proposed...it just wouldn't have worked.

Well, I don't think the bailout has worked either. Maybe temporarily but more bad shit will be coming down the pike. There have been no reforms to speak of and the banks are back to taking big risks because they know the taxpayer has their back.
