Big announcement!!!

Postby G.I.Jim » Sat Sep 19, 2009 12:32 am

Alright everyone,

I've been waiting for the go-ahead on this announcement, and just got it this morning! There has been a change in our line-up, and as of this morning.... Our new drummer is Federico Paulovich from Italy. He has done a lot of amazing things in the music industry, and is definitely a world-class musician! He was the missing link that we have been searching for, and I know his talents are going to push this band to new heights!!! Here's his myspace link...

http://www.myspace.com/federicopaulovich

Check out his amazing timing in this youtube video! :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyo5MfoUi_0

He is going to be our Deen Castronovo or Simmon Phillips, and we couldn't have POSSIBLY found a better drummer to complete our line-up. The good thing is that he lives right there in Italy with Alex and Jakk, so they will be going iinto the studio together. I may actually be going to Italy myself for the studio session... We haven't worked out all of the details yet. Either way... we should have him in the studio within the next month to work on the album. I can't WAIT to hear what his drums add to these songs. :D

I should have another new song back from Alex in the next day or so, and I'll post a clip ASAP. Thanks for checking out our songs, and we'll keep you posted! I hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks again everyone! :D I'm extremely excited about getting him into the studio, and his playing is going to make our songs so much more dynamic. Like I said... our goal is to have him in the studio within the next month. Alex may be bringing his laptop here so that we can do the final mixes together. We DEFINITELY want to be in the same room together to make sure we get it right. We're still not sure what we're going to do about getting it mastered yet though. There's a studio I could use here, but they are extremely expensive! :x

One other news tidbit I have, is that I'm now playing with my old church band again! I played with them for about a year and a half, but we hadn't been there for over 2 years now. I didn't really care for the pastor in the church (neither did the rest of the church). They just removed him from the church, so when he left they called me back.

Our church band is probably the most rocking church band in Columbia! :D We have two guitarists and a drummer who where all proffesional studio musicians in Nashville. Our back-up singer is the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in South Carolina. Also, we have a new member of our church who may be joining our band... he's the drummer for Hootie and the Blowfish!  There is a LOT of talent there, and I get goosebumps every time I play with them! We have a total of 6 singers onstage, and when they harmonise... :D
