H@kk's going on tour!!! Well, sort of!

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Sat Sep 19, 2009 8:27 am

Folks, since I consider a lot of you
friends and family, I' like to share some AWESOME news
I got today! I have been hired as the new Viper WEST F-16
Demonstration Team Maintence Lead!

In english  that means I will be heading up a team that travels
around the country 8 months out of the year to countless airshows,
performing aerial demonstrations of the F-16! I won't be flying
but I will be narrorating AND getting increddible opportunities
to mingle with the public, set-up various community service/charity
projects and just plain HAVE FUN!

In a month or so, I should know what dates and where I will be.
WHY tell all of you???

Hell, maybe I will be at an airport near YOU!
I LOVE meeting MR folks and what a better way;
you get an awesome experience (and I'll get you up
close and personal with our jets) AND I get to meet
some of you wonderful people face to face

BTW, one of my OTHER duties will be putting together
the MUSIC for each performance...
Hmmmm... I KNOW I can work some
"Satnd Up and Shout" in there and I already have a
few Journey selections in mind to splice in here and there

If you're curious, here's a link to the team's website!

Dude, I LOVE LOVE LOVE airshows, and used to go to them all the time growing up in Florida, but for some reason you could throw a rock and hit an airshow in FL. Nowadays in VA there don't seem to be too many here amongst all these mountains.

On the other hand, I'm on the road 4-5 days a week now, so when I find out your schedule I will DEFINITELY see if our paths are gonna cross at all!

What an awesome opportunity Carlitto. Congratulations! Any chance you'll be at airshows in the Great Lakes area?

Glad so many of you seem interested in meeting The H@kk
Who could honesstly pass THAT up, right??? J/K :P

Anyhow, here's how it will play out. I will officially join the
Team in November, which is the end of the season. It sounds like
I will be going with the current team-leader for a show in
Pensacola, Fl in early Novemebr; all part of the training/initiation
process. Then I'll spend december - feb learning the gig, training the other
new dudes on the routines and just having fun. Starting in March is when
I will be hitting the road for sure. And YES, our team travels ALL OVER
the Country and even to Hawaii and S. America.

By Feb I should have the exact Cities/Dates of which shows I will be
over-seeing. I will be sure to let you know and, now that some of you have
thrown cities out there, I will watch for those specifically :)
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?
