OT: IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Postby MBPL » Sat Sep 19, 2009 3:08 am

I am cleaning off my desk and will do so until October when some of us who have senority are placed in our new positions. We only get 1 offer that they throw at us, the economy is so bad there are no jobs to choose from. Sure my new job could be far away or in a bad neighbohood, but know what? Thinking positive did work 'cause despite it all at least there is light at the end of the tunnel...paying bills, benefits stay in tact hopefully.

I want to thank all of you for your stories, made me feel like I am not alone. And thank you for your prayers and well wishes. Yeap thinking positive does help I am sure of that!

So, what's up for you all this weekend, hmm? Me? I'm taking my fat-ass, no-job-having lump of lard boy cat to get his vaccination. He is a terror at the vet, hates going, growls, hisses and puts up a good fight. Unfortunately I have to use sedatives tomorrow to ease the stress of his visit. My girl cat? She is afraid of air. I took her last week for her shots and she hid in the corner of the table hoping no one saw her. Poor little thing. Your weekend activity here _________________________________________________________. Enjoy! MBPL :D

I've been reading your threads for a while now, and I really appreciate your upbeat, humorous posts. Thanks for sharing.

My weekend consists of being in the City by the Bay for a weekend jaunt of grooming dogs. It's my second job and supplements my income quite well. And......I get to enjoy the great city of SF. Go Giants!!!!!

Thank you, dear. Just home, but I gotta go out again, in the heat!

No job yet, that's the problem. I am told those with seniority may be allowed to "bump" someone, but we don't know where we'll go. Also, we only get one chance to take whatever job they toss at us. The uncertainty sucks, but what can you do?

Hey, don't work too hard and thank you all for your thoughts. MBPL :D
