This is another haunting song.....

I've had it on "repeat" in my car since I heard it last week.

Never knew this song existed, until Mark wanted to listen this CD on a road-trip.
IMO, this blows "Kayleigh" out of the water!

WHY IS IT the Songs that connect with you are the songs that, ironically, you DON'T HEAR ON THE RADIO...? :?
MAJOR chill-factor for me, from 4:52 on....EVERY time I hear it.... 8)

I heard "She's Like the Wind" today - it was haunting to hear it now so soon after Patrick Swayze's passing -

How long after this did Young pass away? He looks rough.

I noticed that too. His color is gone. Pasty grey, poor guy. His voice though, wow, strong as ever.

He died in 2000 but I haven't a clue when this was shot. Has to be late 90s.

RIP Paul Young.

Looks to have been filmed April of 95. His voice was great but he sure didn't look himself.

Good add J. After Achtung Baby, it seelms U2 morphed into an "We can still write a hit" band rather than the soulful creative force they were in the 80's.

They almost broke out of that mode on All You Can Leave Behind with a few tracks but nothing touches The Joshua Tree and Unforgettable Fire.

classical/piano pieces tend to be quite haunting....

Yann Tiersen- Comptin d'un Autre Été: L'apres Midi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFLF-gh4C2M

Aphex Twin- Avril 14th
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfYl6_f2Mdg
I suppose more nostalgic than haunting, but whatever.

Eluvium- Radio Ballet
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx9_XMXOCbg

Antonio Vivaldi- Spring: Largo e Pianissimo Sempre
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWOwB9PFEr8

And last but definitely not least.... Frederic Chopin- Funeral March

ChildinTime, you just prompted me to search for a piano piece that has been HAUNTING me for 39 yrs...I think I found it. It was from the Hallmark t.v. movie, "Jane Eyre" from 1970 and it looks like John Williams was the one who scored the movie! I never knew he did that one...we even saw him years ago at the Hollywood Bowl and I can recognize one of his scores from most of the movies he's done.

Well, here it is...the only one I could find on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0USUWThq ... re=related
I loved that movie and had a crush on George C. Scott...geez, and I was only a kid! lol.

Another piano piece that I found on iTunes months ago by "Yurima": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhN7SG-H-3k

I'm just in awe of anyone who can play an instrument that evokes emotion.

Those are both absolutely beautiful, thank you tammy. :)

This isn't piano stuff again, this is just music-in-general now:

Ani DiFranco: Grey
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mPEspBU7PE

Red House Painters: San Geronimo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfb6Yub-aM0
This band's songs always seem to evoke nostalgia in me.

Testament: The Legacy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjoLhwmEHEM

and I can't leave out my namesake!!!
Deep Purple: Child in Time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfAWReBmxEs
such an awesome song... 8)
