Go laugh it up. I know, Necks, cars and going in circles, ha ha ha. Forget about the 200,000 people in attendance, and the huge viewership on the tube. Journey could use this big time. Going on Oprah sure will solidify the stay at home Mommy and reassure you all of more Open Arms in the future! Yay! How fucking exciting. Have Schon play the National Anthem as fighters roar overhead. leave Friga the fuck outta the picture, and Pineda too. Then have the band play some good driving rock, like SW, KOR, SIL, stuff of that nature.

On a further note, have Schon play the SSB in the back of a Chevy Silverado as it circles the track. That would make Sportscenter.

I think this will be the very first opportunity that I will purposely miss watching them on TV for since I can't remember (probably the early 80's). Just have no interest. Nothing against what the band is doing now, just losing the passion from what I once had. I thought they were just okay on the last several shows I've seen them on, and I'm not inspired to seek them out. I am kind of sad inside.

That's the same way I felt in 1998. I feel for you. :(

Will the show be solely dedicated to Journey, or are the part of a multiple guest list?

from what I read, solely, with two songs. Arnel brought it up in SB, but I haven't seen Neal mention the interview at all on his blog, which surprised me.

From what I read, The band will have 15-20 minutes of talk time. There will be guests who have stories that tie in with the Don't Stop Believin' theme. Both songs played will be shorter versions because of time constraints.

Thx. I'd be surprised to see an entire hour dedicated to the band, though. We already have VH1's BTM for that. Even Arnel's story could be summed up in one to two 15 minute segments, including two performances. Betcha a majority of the episode touches on the impact and mystique of 'DSB' and how it comes into play so often these days.

During the next six months, with the band on their break, I expect more DSB themed interviews with Perry, if he indeed is coming out with a new single or something. What a coincidence that Journey might be off for a year and Steve might actually fill that void with his own project.

We'll see.

I'm a hater, remember? I don't just read, I analyze, looking for faults and half truths to exploit, using the band's own words against them.

So true, but Gunbot only has one choice name for me.

Hey, where are Isla and Chubby to start up the Atlanta/Alpharetta and Pensacola concert threads. They're slacking on the job.

They're waiting for the Journey forum to open so their threads don't get lost amongst all the off topic stuff.

Is this still scheduled to air on October 2nd anyone know? I searched on Oprah's website, but her site doesn't have an area for upcoming shows, only archives & the current week's episodes.

I'm not an Oprah fan, but I do want to DVR her show the day that Journey's scheduled to appear. Believe or not, I still have this year's Super Bowl on DVR.

Shortened versions of DSB and Faithfully. Probably in correct key as it's Television and their last performance for a while.
