Wow.....it's true then, that history does repeat itself, Arnel (and the AMO Band as a whole) were accused of the same thing back in the 80's.

It goes to show that Arnel is that good. 8)

I don't know if you call it bias, but the dj made his assumption that Arnel was lipping because he heard an accent when Arnel greeted the audience. So wrong. :(

Bias might be the appropriate word - did you notice his lame attempt at imitation? He said something about Arnel saying "Hewoooo..." Yeah, umm, generic Asian stereotype? Ugh. If you are going to mock someone's accent, at least mock it correctly.

Journey lipsyncing? Well, once you've been busted, hard to shake some of the doubt no matter how good your next singer happens to be.

Agreed. But, when you listen to this numbnuts, you don't get the impression that he's asking due to his knowledge of tapegate.

I'm sure the guy is in idiot. But how would Journey address it if asked. "We haven't lipsynced since 2006. The other guy had throat problems, it was a big tour. We did what we had to. We're past that now, we're 100% legit with Arnel."

One thing that wasn't asked or spoken to, was, Was Deen singing along at times? When 'dude' said that it sounded like tracking, it could simply have been DC singing/echoing the leads for harmony, no?

perryswoman wrote:Again I say the sound sucked in Greensboro but Arnel was spot on! I don't think he missed a note!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a matter of fact I am watching for the third time the 1hour and 45 minute boot from Greensboro and he rocked the house!!!

Same in Orlando, except our sound was good for the most part. Arnel was perfect to my ears, no flat notes that I heard, and he definitely rocked the Amway Arena.

Arnel's voice was beyond powerful and to the forefront in Orlando. The guy just couldn't believe it was that good live. It was.

Exactly. Can't count how many times I've seen Journey now, and Deen has a powerful incredible perfect voice and you can clearly hear him when he sings.
