It's my personal preference. I find JSS more appealing than Perry. I don't think Perry is ugly. Just not manly looking enough for my taste. That's all.

This looks and antics of Perry got stuck in my mind and did not like it since. Sorry.

Just for the record, when it comes to the word manly....nobody beats Neal in that department.

Damn straight. And I think Jason might agree with that.

And Portland hands Jana the pom-pom's

Just look at my avatar and it says it all.

Nah, mine does. :) Perry is/was and probably always will be my 'all-time' favorite vocalist.....but out of my 3 faves, JSS definitely takes it for stage presence/sex appeal. He's got a natural fluidity and confidence on stage that SP and EM, and I love 'em to pieces, but sometimes can come across as adorably goofy.

Here we go....

I'll pass with JSS as sexiest Journey frontman, least favorite frontman with Journey voice and stylewise. Didn't like his style (a lot of sloppy jersies) and more metalish and beat my chest type frontman. Though, he is a good-looking guy and does possess a lot of confidence in his own shows. But Perry was Better than him by a mile with Journey, a little goofy in early days with dragging his feet, but got great rythym going and his body was great in ROR concerts. And love Arnel and Steve A with Journey stylewise and lookswise as frontmen for different reasons with both.

That's ok, we all have our favorites......Arnel's little leaping leprechaun style does nothing for me either. Mmm, forgot about ROR.......give me a moment. :P

We can make the same argument. Perry's obsessed fans turned more Pineda fans against SP. You have to remember that Arnel being announced as lead vocalist of an American band was a very big thing for the Pinoy music fans. We were very happy but some of Perry's fans rained on our parade. Most of us would have been content with Arnel being behind Perry's shadow all the time but people like jimmmytt (who used to post negative comments on all of Arnel's YT clips) and even some former members of this forum made some of us turn against Perry in retaliation to attacks against Arnel. Is it unfair to Perry? Absolutely! But the earlier insults thrown at Pineda were also unfair to him so that evens it out as far as the more hardcore Arnel fans are concerned.

Behshad wrote:He was discovered because of his talent, but he was chosen to sing PERRYS songs. Had he not been for Perry, Journey and management, Arnel would still been singing in karaoke bars....
No one is trying to diminish Arnels accomplishment, but you pinheads try to make it seem like its the other way around and that what Perry accomplished doesnt mean shit, cause Arnel is so much better,,,,
The fact that you admit that you (and your clan) dont care, is what will always make you guys look even more weird than the loons ....

You wanna enjoy the ride, by all means do so, but dont forget who built this ride for you to enjoy ....

You know what, we get it. Perry is great but we don't want it rammed down our throat. Wouldn't it be better if we discover it ourselves and not be constantly reminded by his fans every chance they get?

The same could be said about AP....we don't need it crammed down out throats as well! and well this is a Journey boad so I guess we all have to put up or get to fuck out!

The only way it will be rammed down your throat is if you go looking for it i.e. if you go to Arnel's site (even that is tamed because the moderators wouldn't allow that) or youtube. I have never seen a regular member of this board make an unfair comparison against Perry in favor of Arnel.

Me too MG, I'm LMAO on this kind of argument, it's getting old and nobody really win or lose, nor benefit from the band's success. If you're happy with SP, SA and JSS memories, fine and I'm happy for you, if you enjoy listening to current Journey lineup, that's great. No one can dictate you on what type of music you really enjoy except yourself. I think the people who really benefits on this success is the band itself and their management. The more you buy their product, the more money on their pocket.
Tell you what, why don't we just enjoy the music and forget about this comparison crap? Let the loons, wigglers and JSS fans enjoy the memories with Journey and pinheads enjoy this moment while it last. End of story.

Well I don't think SP is all that attractive but am in love with his voice obviously but Arnel would be second with JSS running a close 3rd. It's all about stage presents as well as voice for me.

I voted 'none of them', not because of that choice's explanation  , but because none of them really do *it* for me. The only one that comes close, would be Augeri, but I'm already biased where he is concerned, so it doesn't really count. LOL

There are many, many bands that I enjoy and follow that don't have any visual attraction for me at all... The music is what I find attractive. Sorry, if that counters the assumed stereotype, but that's the truth. :::shrug:::

It's a given the music is first and foremost, visual doesn't go hand in hand with talent either. I mean, Billy Sheehan holds no visual attraction for me, but his bass playing totally captivates me as much as my other faves Rudy Sarzo or Marco Mendoza's does. And hate to admit it now......but I'm sure Bon Jovi's looks had a lot to do with me being a fan in my 20s. Because, being older and wiser now and comparing his voice to say, Eric Martin's. Martin smokes Jovi, vocally. But EM didn't have those chiselled good looks Jovi had back then.

But I'd be lieing if I was to say I wasn't a visual creature too. When I go to a show, visual/stage presence has almost as much appeal as the music......otherwise I'd stay home and listen to the records. There is just something about watching one of your favorites pouring their soul out vocally that you just don't get on a CD. :)
