From what I understand, Deen sang the Perry parts this evening.

Here's a live version of the song from 1980.

Oh how I have missed this song being in the set.

I love Neal's high kick at the :05 mark ...

Perry sounds great, although I never liked his look during this stage....Way to "pretty" with his shirt tied in a knot. Ahh the late 70's!

Now I want Rolie back full time .... (I have, but this just makes me miss him being in the band more)

Seeing as Rolie lives in Austin, it was cool to have him do a one off. Not surprising if Deen sang with him. Deens got the pre-Escape voice and probably more familiarity with that song.

hey, y'all.

Gregg Freakin Rolie. no schutt.

Just the Same Way. Linda has video. noschutt.

yes, Marie, quite a night. (would be better with you!!!)

I got the setlist. Deen came to ILAA, said Hi sweetie and kissed me. Arnel held my hand. We were in the RoSs ZoNe, front row. They did Higher Place, Be Good to Yourself AND Just The Same Way. dangit!!!

What a night! I guessed that it was Gregg cuz Linda said that Gregg had recently moved to Austin. I played Mystery Mountain for Jeff, the ILAA host, cuz he had never heard the REAL Journey. hehe I saw Jeff after the show and said "Pay up! I guessed correctly!!" so he took a dollar bill out of his pocket and gave it to me.

I thought I was going to A-Cry B-Pass out or C--soil myself. Gregg Freakin Rolie. dangit

It was an amazing show. wow. I'm not even close to being done. it's gonna take some time to come down. Linda's toast. zzzzzzz.

Did u know that Ken owns one of Neal's SCHON guitar? autographed? schutt!!!!!

oh, and Ricky Phillips walked by. I'm staring at him thinking no way and I just said Hi Ricky. He turned and smiled. sigh.........

I think some of the shows with Jeff, they closed with Faithfully and DSB, but with Separate Ways as the encore.
