well, the walmart here in the hayseed town I work in didn't have any out at lunchtime, so maybe the one where I live will have it tonight

I think that's part of the problem. People expected this to be out on the shelves early this morning, since Wal-Mart is a 24-hour establishment, but in reality it probably won't be on shelves until later today. It's kind of funny to go over to the Journey official site and see the people writing messages to Neal thinking that he's going to read them and take care of things at Wal-Mart or something. Those people are crazier than the craziest Pinheads.

Sounds like the same may be the case here, but the last employee I spoke with said that stock may not be laid out until next Tuesday. I garontee, that ain't gonna happen!

It gets worse here... I did get lucky enough to run into the lady that arranges the music displays -- they use a 3rd party company called Anderson to do those. She said she handles 4 stores here and hasn't seen that in any of the boxes yet, and that new product is placed out each Tuesday. Also said they normally would have displays out to advertise it (like they do the Foreigner disc). I hope someone gets luckier than I did, but maybe just having it available for sale on the website today doesn't mean it hits the shelves. I really wish I'd pre-ordered now, because a friend got a confirmation yesterday that hers had shipped already.

I pre-ordered but Walmart wouldn't deliver to the UK. So I have to have it delivered to a friend there who will then send it to me. Joy!

Well I called my local walmart back today around 3 to see if they put the dvd on the shelves. The guy told me yes they have it and I can come up and get it. So I leave and get up there around 3:30, when i got there, there was no journey dvd anywhere. I looked up and down the music isles and nothing! Then I asked this one guy who was stocking some movie dvds and he said "if its not on the shelf we dont have it". Then I got kind of mad, because I went all the way (30 minutes away) to get this dvd that they said was here! So I went to the electronics counter and stood in line for 15 minutes while one of the employees is on the phone. By this time I was ready to scream lol. Finally I talked to the guy who said they had them and he said "I got off the phone with you too quick and it says on the box the release date is Oct. 6th". I said "you have got to be kinding me!", "I came all the way up here and it says on your website it is going to be released today". Then he said "let me check the website" and he found it did say that it is supposed to be released today. After that he brought the dvd box out and I was able to purchase one. What an adventure that was! Gotta love walmart!

To those who are having trouble getting one...the dvd box date may have the wrong release date on it.

Went to the only Walmart close to here today (on my way back from picking up my husband up at the hospital - priorites, ya know ). I got a look of complete dumbfoundedness (is that a word?) when I asked, then I got a 'never heard of it' and then a 'oh no, if it's just been released in the States today it won't be here for at least a month!'. What a load of crap - picked up the Foreigner package there on the release date, they've got ads all over the place for the Kiss release next week. I'm betting if I check again next week it'll be there.

LOL - no, been to a few, and actually all our WM's had Revelation. I got the list of WM's here who were slated to receive the DVD directly from corporate. Now... our non-SuperCenters might not carry carrots or pommegranate juice.

I tried yesterday and even early this morning. They definitely don't have new stock out bright and early on release day here. Actually, every time I've gone to Wal Mart looking for something the day it was supposed to be released, I've either had to go to several stores or have an employee check stock in the back. I'm passing one in a few minutes and will try again.

Oh, I got mine by 1AM this morning. They checked in back, came back several times and couldn't find it, then they got a manager who found it... took them a good 30-40 mins, but I still got my dvd. I don't take no for an answer when I know they have something. They are extraordinarily bad at my Walmart with getting new releases on the shelves at midnight, even though there are always people up there looking for them. They need to realize since they're open all night, getting things at exactly midnight is one of their features. They're so disorganized with new releases, its not even funny. It's not their fault, either. Things just aren't marked correctly. Hell, they almost brought me out the new KISS too until I opened my big mouth and let them know it wasn't supposed to be released until Tuesday. Ugh. The moral of this story is, DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Oh, and good news is the show doesn't appear to have any overdubs or touching up whatsoever. A concert DVD the way they all should be!!!
