I already raced Apollo Creed on the beach, drank 7 rotten eggs, and ran up and down the stairs to get ready for tonight and put on the gloves if need be. I will be leaving with this DVD tonight.

I had to go to their walmart.com kiosk next to the register to show them the release date and dvd title. I literally had to point at the title and where it said "10/02/2009" for them to get that. It still took 3 more trips to the back for them to find it!!!!

Oh, I got mine by 1AM this morning. They checked in back, came back several times and couldn't find it, then they got a manager who found it... took them a good 30-40 mins, but I still got my dvd. Hell, they almost brought me out the new KISS too until I opened my big mouth and let them know it wasn't supposed to be released until Tuesday. Ugh. The moral of this story is, DON'T GIVE UP!!!

F* this... I'm at a SuperCenter now and I'm walking out with a Journey DVD AND the new KISS CD.

ROFL!!! I just cracked a case of KISS CD's and had 2 of them paid for and back out to my car before they could blink! Jamming on it now! Now time to go back in and get my DVD satisfaction... LOL!

I took photos of the boxes btw to help people out and will post when I get home. They have light green labels marked as time-sensitive, with instructions to have them up by 10/6.

Didn't have it at the first Walmart I tried. The clerk searched and found me one in a store nearby. It looks and sounds great, not much sweetening done to the original recording and I like that. Great deal for $10.00. Hope to see it on Blu-ray someday. I would buy it again.

I just printed out the ad from Walmart's website showing the release date of 10/02/2009. I verified with my nearest Walmart that they actually have it in the back (with the green sticker) and I told the guy I would be coming down with my proof to talk to a manager. He was very happy to go in the back and look. I was very polite and so was he. This should be fun!

Got an email from the Journey mailing list, saying that the Manila DVD is available for order...

...but it won't ship until October 12. This is just getting stranger and stranger. I just hope my Wal-Mart has it out when I check on Monday and I don't have to mess with going into the back or anything else.

Got mine...went to a Walmart around 1 pm and they said only a select Walmarts would carry the DVD and to check a SuperCenter about 20 miles away. Went to the Super Walmart and they did not have any out...nice lady checked a box that just came in and they had the DVD's...box said to display Oct 6th. Another co-worker said not to see it to me (the Journey DVD's were mixed in with the new Kiss CD's) because of what the box said. Too late, already rung up but had to jump thru hoops to get it....will watch it tonight with a nice bottle of wine.

I managed to get mine on the first store hit. (Actually bought 4, one for me and 3 for gifts) I first spoke to this one lard ass lady who was arranging shelves. She told me that if it wasn't on the shelves it wasn't there. I told her that both Walmart's and Journey's website showed it released today. I aked if she would please go in the back and check. She said she could not do that. I then went to the electronics register and met this young Asian looking kid. Once I explained my plight he seemed as interested as I was in getting this resolved. He said he had heard the story about Arnel and was anxious to get his own copy. Anyway, he went to the back and I knew he was making an honest effort to find it because it took about 18 minute for him to come back. When he came out he hollered across the floor "got it!". He had a stack of them and put the ones I didn't buy on a shelf by other new releases. It's a good day!

Check for two things.

1. Make damn sure you actually have a dvd player on your computer.
2. Make sure you have a dvd player program installed, such as Power DVD.

You can have a dvd player installed but without proper software you can't play it.

My pinhead blood is in high gear right now.The guy from Walmart I think sensed that I wanted this cd very badly and he told me at first that they just ran out. I said to myself don't ever joke about that ever or else they will see a cougar balling like a baby in the middle of the aisle at Walmart. Lol.

On my way home now. I'm so excited. YEAH !!!!

I got an email from Walmart.com saying that mine has been shipped to my friend's house. Expected arrival is between October 5-9. It will then have to cross the Atlantic before it gets to me.
