corrupt politicians?
of where? The US???

Jesus christ? There isn't a legislative body that's going to write a law requiring someone in this country to send money off shore....whether it's punitive or philanthropic. And there CERTAINLY isn't going to be a law punitively requiring a 'friend' of a someone who may or may not be corrupt to pay up....

And just so I'm clear on your mental neuropathy, just how exactly is someone going to write a law that coerces a 'corrupt politician or friend' to pay money offshore....

"If you're a politician, and you're corrupt....raise your hand. You have giving to do! Don't be shy!! Don't forget to tell us who your friends are!"

Chubby means the corrupt politician in the Philippines.

much appologies. When saying "required to help the phillipines," as if it's an entity...it's not a stretch to conclude you were referring to someone 'external' to the 'phillipines'...otherwise I would have expected you to say "required to help within their country"

In order for Neal to be able to find and help the right people get elected into the office , you'd have to provide him with a laptop, wifi and the URL to YouTube ;)

Neal's no politician, he's only good with finding people who can sing well. Finding government officials....that's pretty much out of his jurisdiction. He found Arnel and so that is part of his calling.

How does the Philippines keep finding all these corrupt officials over the years? Do they teach a class called corrupt 101? It seems like after Marcos the people had enough of dictators and were on the right path with Cory Aquino. What happened? At some point there is going to be an uprising as the younger pinoy is more world savy and educated.

Greed and peer pressures I guess. If you've been starved for most of your life and then one day you find yourself able to eat as much as you want, you may tend to overeat and go ape-shit over food. I think that's what happens with politicians over in third world countries, such as the Philippines. They've been poor most of their lives and now they have access to unlimited funds. Plus once they get into office, I'm sure there is a residual left over from the previous "corrupt" party which pressures them into the same activities. Though I've not had any one on one contact with politicians over there, I'm just speculating the "why" it continues to happen.
