True. It's not his job to do so, nor does not doing so mean he feels (or doesn't feel) a certain way, although the usual suspects choose to assign whatever meaning they wish anyway (and by usual suspects, I mean fans of whichever lead singer is behind the mic at the given moment during which Perry and his feelings/comments are being discussed ).

He's seen 3 three singers come and go and come and go and come since his dismissal/departure/exit (choose your own adventure....) and probably doesn't feel like (it's up to him to be) commenting upon each one's ability. Seems like he just wishes to state for the public record that he wishes the group the best in their endeavors and get on with it. Why open a can of worms?

I could sit around commenting about the women my ex has gotten mixed up with since we split up, but what's the point? Serves no one any good or bad... just move on with things. He acknowledges that the band is currently successful by saying "continued" success. Since we think we need SP to validate AP's parking ticket, figuratively speaking of course, that to me is a (grayscale) stamp. But a stamp nonetheless. If I was AP and i read that, i would be like, "tang ina, SP said that? Sweet!!!!" and understandably so.
