Waiting to hear the "pop" sound when NOMOTA pulls their heads out of their collective asses. [/rant]

I believe he is paid as an equal member starting this year, 2009 tour. Neal said it, I'm pretty sure in his blog once addressing something said. And I believe Arnel said something also, but not sure. But if not, I'm with you.

Cool. 8)

TDTWT is fantastic on this DVD. This one is a bitch to do live for the backing vocals, but they did well here, if it's not augmented. Arnel tore this song up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_q-xRw8J4Y

Arnel killed on every Revelation song, all seven. I can't think of one that his vocals weren't spot on.

And Neal killed on this one. Arnel too.

I love the Jam and think it's really cool the way Neal is out there playing with the Audiance. You can tell they are eating right up. :D

That's the first time I've seen Neal do that. Which reminds me of the Thackerville Oklahoma show. Neal got down on his knees and slapped hands with the audience. I've never seen that either.

Not sure how you can't love this band right now. They're on fire.

If you mean buying it, they're sold out in my area. Around 100 came in and sold out. They sent me to another store and only two left. She thought they had gotten in over 100. My friend in another town e-mailed me wanting to know if we had any as in her town they sold out quickly. And I wonder how online is doing. I had already ordered one off of there, but it hadn't come yet, so I went out to buy one. I would imagine sales are good online.

Well I finally got my copy of the "Rip Rokken In Manila" DVD & I'm not 100% sure, but I think the band Journey may have made a cameo appearance. Image j/k.

I gotta say after all the hype I've read on here I thought that no way in hell is this DVD gonna live up to my expectations, but -- DAMN -- it totally blew me away!!! I thought Arnel sounded better than I've ever heard him. He sounded nothing like he did at the Super Bowl. His voice was amazing!!!! He had a few minor problems here & there, but nothing that would affect my overall opinion of the concert. All the work that was put into making this set by way of sound quality, lighting, camera angles & so forth are simply great IMO. This DVD, to me, looks so much more professional than the Houston & Greatest Hits releases. That's not a jab at Perry, btw. I'm sure he had nothing to do with the lighting, sound or camera angles of those concerts. It's just that this one's now my fave. Deen was fantastic as ever on Mother Father. I loved Neal & Jon's solos, (no surprise there). Hell, I don't have anything bad at all to say about this set. They could have charged twice what they're asking. It's well, worth the investment & then some. :D

just picked up the last one at my walmart.
Going to that place is like going to the zoo. Animals everywhere...

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but the packaging is great. Nice job.

later-
Watched about 4 tunes. Sounds great to me. Arnel sings the Hell out of this stuff.
Hi RIP!!! HAHAHAHAHA. Too funny.
Nice to see Cain playing a real piano (you can actually see the hammers). Most guys these days use a shell and electronic guts.
Did he smile?? Oh wait, I think that was just gas.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I haven't purchased the DVD, but I have seen some of the performances on YouTube. Neal, Deen, and Arnel all look like they're having the time of their lives. Neal wouldn't be smiling so much if he weren't happy with Arnel's performance, so I think all is going really well for them.

I know they are supposed to be working on a new album now, but is there any other news on what they might be doing during their year off from touring? I'm still waiting on Neal's next solo project!

Journey's Manila DVD and Revelation album are Walmart's #2 and #3 topseller next to Kiss album.

That's very impressive. I didn't expect this thing to make that much of an impact, given the way they kinda just foisted the release on us without too much warning.

Well, in the stores in my area they sold out out quickly and the salesclerk told me he kept having people coming in asking for it and there was nothing they could do and that it was sold out at most of the other stores. e has no idea when the next shipment is coming in, and I see online they're already out of stock of the Manila DVD  . re-edit - now back in stock online.
