They were competing in the same market as everyone else. Metalica sued their fans over it and did it help their sales? I highly doubt it. I think that lost them more sales and fans than it gained them because it pissed off their fans (and non-fans) so much.

Ok, let the normal MR pick apart begin!
In Journey, I've sold about 50 million records, so that's probably been my life work, with the Journey catalog. I've probably written over 140 songs that have been put on CDs, quite a catalog. We're still writing for Journey.

That's very impressive. And may add, still counting.
No matter what, the talent of this guy is amazing.

I vacationed there about 5 years ago - very nice island.

Yes, Sanibel is one of the most amazing places on earth. I grew up 18 miles from there and spent my youth on that island. Took quite a few years for the homesickness to wear off.

yep, right off the coast of Fort Myers. Nice, secluded, and a great place for homemade Key Lime Pie, sunsets and conch shells. The only thing is that you are barely above the Everglades, so the mosquitos are omnipresent at dusk/dawn. Went there once and had 30 bites/leg. Great for tic-tac-toe, not great for anything else.

We stayed in Captiva, right next to Sanibel. Loved it. Literally had our own private beach. So beautiful and some really great restaurants, except the one restaurant sitting outside and I was eaten alive by mosquitoes. A bunch of us went kayaking in the ocean with heavy winds and beyond hard to get back to the boat that took us out there and dropped us off. Places like this are great for relaxing and great happy hours after coming back from the beach.

yes, Captiva is BAD for mosquitos. So is the beach access about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way up that you have to walk on the boardwalk to get there.
If you go back, make sure you go to Jerry's supermarket in Sanibel itself. It's worth it to see how they have hidden the entrance to the grocery story, and they have the best Key Lime Pie on the planet.

Is Jerry's Supermarket right between Sanibel and on the way to Captiva where the little road winds? if so, that's where we always popped in to buy some wine. I had keylime pie, but at the restaurant. Will try it from there next time.
