I don't agree. The Eagles one mentioned was SO boring- 'nice' performance, but you might as well put on the records for how exciting it is. With the Manilla one, it was an energetic, fun show, though Cain looked like he was having a colonoscopy. Oh well. I will say that "the new super delux jumbo camera" or whatever it was really didn't look any better than anything else I've seen. If you're talking about the 5.1 and stuff, yeah, I wouldn't be able to answer that, but I know it's easier to do "LIVE" 5.1 when everything's re-recorded in the studio.

I'll go 50/50 on this one. I'd love to have Graspop as a full-quality dvd, but giving it credit, the Manilla show is pretty good also. Different type of show. Graspop is the diehard fan hard rock show, while Manilla is your average extended concert with a fair amount of rare material in it.

And that's just it. Do we want just an average show extended? Or, do we want something different - a great rock show? If/when Manilla gets on Blu-ray, I'll get it and compare. Thing is, Graspop is already a great high quality show. We now have it in its entirety. The vid is great, and the audio I can run thru a couple filters and remix myself. The latter, I can then burn to cd and/or private audio.

Yes, they are different shows. But, my want is for rockin' audio.

I agree. I love Graspop for the raw energy of it and all rock songs. But I love Manila b/c I love Journey ballads, too, and they have some great ones in there: TDTWT, WYLAW, WDILYL, and some really soulful solos by Neal (which is the other side to Neal's playing that I love, the soulfulness), and love the intro to Open Arms. Neal's solo after ATL was awesome. Plus WIN extended version was on there, one of the top two songs of the night Arnel and Neal at their best. Still They Ride with Deen loved, loved. I mean, totally different from Graspop. Happy to have them both the way I look at it. A lot of Revelation songs. Plus, they still had a lot of high energy songs also.

Right you are! ;)

The car was actually restored by a service manager friend at a dealership and the factory am/fm radio was replaced when 8 Track became available.

Works just fine in the car with a little effort. Here's what you do. Get a program to rip the audio to a wav file (plenty of free ones out there), and burn it to a cd. Sounds VERY good. Graspop fits on 1 cd, and the Manilla show fits on 2 cds (I put the break just before Separate Ways started on mine). Of course, no worries about where to put a break if you just encode for your ipod/mp3 player.

If it were a DVD/CD combo, it would be two separate discs. One DVD, one CD. Not...both...on the same...disc...

This is very common in the Philippines and I thought it would be something similar.

VCD stands for 'Video Compact Disc' and basically it is a CD that contains moving pictures and sound.
