To me that article is really bias, I understand who they are intending to put down there. Serously if I were a member of Journey and SP wanted to come back, I'd audition him, have him sing some tunes, then after he's been humiliated enough since he can't sing anymore, I'd say thanks but no thanks, we got someone who sings great and won't flake out on us when we want to do music.

However, if Journey did bring SP back and things went "south" again like they did before with SP and Journey, I'd be one of the members here LMAO. To replace AP with SP now, that's beyond stupidity and they would be just begging for something to go wrong doing it.

I got into Prince's music in the late 80's. The last great album he put out though I'm sure was Purple Rain. Since that album, I have absolutely zero use for any of Prince's music now.

He's actually got some very cool stuff. However, his albums are THE MOST inconsistent of any artist ever. Check out his Batman soundtrack, and do a youtube search for the song "Peach". Both are great.

Great post Voyager! There is a huge difference between "quitting" and deciding that you've given as much as you are able to give and would like a chance to have a different life. SP missed out on spending more time with his dying mother to write and produce a Journey album - how many of you would sacrifice time with a dying loved one to go to work when you don't have to? He could have kept living the life of a rock star, but left the road and took care of his dying grandfather instead. That's not quitting in my book.


I certainly respect his right to choose what he wants to do with his life and if not spending it with two guys most of the people on MR call names I'd rather not repeat is one of them, then so be it! I miss him in Journey too, but I appreciate what he gave of himself and while he was with Journey he gave his all.
