AOTW: Roswell Six - Terra Incognita

Supergroup kind of project. Music is written by Erik Norlander, so it sounds very much like you would expect to hear from him. Overall I find it a decent listen , but not blown away by any stretch.

My AOTW is Cain's Offering 'Gather the Faithful'

Team up the former songwriters of Sonata Arctica, combine with Timo Kotipelto of Stratovarius, and what you have is an all-star cast for Finnish Power Metal. One of the better releases of the year.

AOTW: Leafblade-Beyond Beyond

Acoustic stuff, but I don't think it's sitting too well. I like Danny Cavanaugh with Anathema, but what I'm hearing here so far isn't really impressing too much.

It hard one for this week, it a toss up between "Revovle" by Danger Danger or "Smoke and Mirrors" by Lynch Mob.

I wasn't impressed by the new Lynch Mob. One or two okay songs in my opinion, the rest I found to be rather dull.

My AOTW is Leaves' Eyes "Njord"

As good as 'Vinland Saga,' though I think the chosen single ('My Destiny') is the weak link in the chain.

AOTW: Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Night Castle

As I've said before about a handful of recent releases...exactly what you would expect from this band. Some of it boring, some of it rather cool.

Devin Townsend Project-Addicted

now this is more like it...the first part KI was a bit boring but this is Devy at his near best....and Anneke from The Gathering really adds something too.

'Tenth Dimension' by Blaze....funny I like the old band more than the new band.....

Well, if any of the former regulars still exist...

My AOTW goes to Powerglove 'Metal Combat For Mortal Man.' Video game music, done metal-style!

I had no idea they were still around. I really liked their cover of Deep Purple's 'Soldier of Fortune'

AOTW: Slash - Slash

A few of the songs don't do much for me, but overall, not a bad cd. I liked that he went with a variety of singers.
