It still makes me laugh when I think back on how to some people, Pineda's hiring meant no new music from Journey and just the greatest hits from here on out since he was a "Perry mimic."
I was sold on Arnel the first time I heard him sing faithfully on youtube. His infectious smile and powerful voice did it for me and see the live and watching him and Neal interact together is very refreshing. Most exciting thing since Perry for me for sure even though I did enjoy JSS and Augeri as well.
You forgot how "he's gonna be treated like shit and thrown under the bus." Hell, Neal's traveling 10,000 fucking miles to do a benefit show with him!!! Sounds like their relationship sucks.

I have to agree, but with no sense of glee. Soto is an incredibly talented musician, who i think is about to release his best work to date. Will it sell bucket loads? Probably not, but that does not diminish the talent on offer.

I noticed the same thing on the RIAA website. Has Revelation sold enough to even be deemed double platinum yet? I havent heard anywhere that its gone double platinum yet.

They might just be waiting for Triple Platinum. It's well over 1 million units shipped (2 million albums). 1.1 million or more. It sells about 1,500-2,500 every week...with sporadic spikes due to publicity and/or promotional appearances.

It could very well be double platinum and they are just waiting on the audit to finish which takes a few months (I believe they originally went platinum in Oct08 but weren't certified until Dec08).
We'll just have to check back with the RIAA board in December.
