Not really Jana. Look at all the time SP was on some kind of hiatus. What was he doing prior to ROR and for how long? Look closely after Frontiers. Steve went off on his solo project (Street Talk) and did not return until 1986. So, he was with the band 5 years up thru the Frontiers album. After that he was working on his solo album, then let's say back for one year 1986-1987 on ROR tour which terminated early. The band reunites for TBF and no tour. So I find 7 years of "real tenure for SP. SA had 8.
I don't think I understand, though I've been called a dumb ass before![]()
But are you are saying that since SA had 8 years with the band and you count SP's 7 years with the band to be less, that he is less relevant to the band? That the band is relevant on it's own, and SP leaving had no bearing at all on what they accomplish as a band? Because SP was part of the band when that genre of music was most relevant. All these years after, this music is not, which is why they bank on the music they made with SP. Maybe I'm just not understanding you though.
Not at all. I would never try and take away the huge contribution that SP made. It was bigger than life.
