Watching this thing again. At about 12:35 on disc one, someone hits a sour fucking note. Sounds like Jon drug his hand across the keyboard or something.

I have no complaints about this DVD though, it's the best show Journey had put on with AP so far.

There are some serious production atrocities in Faithfully.

And in related news, (while shopping for Lysmata amboinensis in Cartimar),
I spotted pirated copies of the DVD, selling for under $2 per. I can only
imagine how much cheaper they'd be in Quiapo, or even MCS.

Here we go again...

Have somebody in the states buy it for you. That's what I did. It will take about 2 years  before it gets to you but am sure it will be worth the wait. I'm still waiting for my copy. To date, I have not looked at youtube for the Manila clips yet because I want to watch it first using a 5.1 sound system.

Received mine from the States within a week.
Good Dvd, but if you are expecting a great sound in 5.1 you are gonna be disapointed. The sound absolutely sucks ass, and is one of the only major flaws on the dvd. Sounds like it was recorded in a shithouse :)

Wow, after ripping the audio from the DVDs and listening with headphones- Gotta agree with Matt. The sound isn't great. GREAT performance, but the sound is definitely not as good as it could've been. A bit muddy. Still cool though.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Bought the DVD last night and watched the whole thing. It was OK Arnel needs to learn where to breathe while he is singing though or, quit jumping around so much so he isnt out of breath all the time. I tried not to compare it to the Houston DVD but I couldnt help it NO ONE will ever sing those songs better than the Master Steve Perry. I must say Deen has an incredible voice and I wouldnt mind if he sang a couple more songs. They all looked like they were having fun except for Jon who looked kind of bored at times. I love all there songs and its great to hear them sung live but I think Ill stick to watching Steve sing the Classics.

Headphones are the ultimate test. I can't take all the credit though for pointing out the sound issues, plenty of others have voiced that critique as well. It's just a very disappointing mix.

This is way too vague. When you mean these *;#$ people, are you talking about the people in the picture or just Filipinos in general? I ask because IMHO you're treading a dangerous slope.

Nearly 30-thousand people went to see Journey when they played in the Philippines earlier this year, but it seems there were plenty of other fans out there that wished they could be there. For those folks, the band released the concert on DVD and 800-thousand Journey fans went out to buy that disc. Live in Manila not only debuted at number one on the music DVD chart, but it actually had the second best DVD debut sales week of the year.

I don't know if that 800.000 is right or if he pulled that off an old article that said once 800,000 Revelation sold and was printed a lot in stories. I don't know.
